IS seeking God to supply your hunger for fancier cars, bigger houses or opulence exhibited by televangelists what Jesus is saying we should do? NO!
REPENTANCE-

24. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Denying oneself...taking up the cross: equates to death to self rule. To follow Jesus, one must give up their right to rule themselves, and submit to the rulership of Jesus as lord over their lives. If you are the captain of your own ship, the master of your own fate...you are deceiving yourself, and are lost.
Mark 10:
23. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24. And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (wealth isn't sinful.)
28. Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

Timothy warns against following those who teach otherwise...

7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (1 Cor. 15:1-4).The obedience to that gospel is first, our own death to self-repentance. Anything less than submission to the word of God- Jesus - is not true repentance.

What's Wrong with The Harbinger's "Ancient Mystery"?

"Is it possible...• That there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future?

The Harbinger has accomplished what most churches choose to ignore: It has alerted America to the Biblical consequences of rejecting God and His guidelines. By linking an Old Testament warning to a coming judgment on America, it rightfully challenges us to trust God, to know His Word and to follow His way! Near the end of this book, author Jonathan Cahn shares a sobering reminder. Here his fictional "prophet" gives Nouriel, the main character, a good lesson on the nature of evil:
That part is true. So what can be wrong with a book that alerts us to evil and calls America back to God?"And who is evil?""Those who kill, who deceive, who steal, those who hurt and abuse others."..."And what about you, Nouriel? Do you fit into any of those categories?""No.""No," he replied, "you wouldn't. But remember, 'All the ways of a man are right in his own eyes.' It's from the Book of Proverbs. That's human nature.... Beware of the good Nazi.""The good Nazi? And what's that supposed to mean?""The Nazis sent millions to their deaths out of pure hatred and evil....And yet do you think most of them saw themselves as evil?""No.""And why not?... Because they compared themselves and measured themselves by the standards they themselves create....You can never judge yourself by your own standards and your own righteousness, but only in light of His righteousness." [pp.228-229]
In spite of my appreciation for the awakening effects of The Harbinger, we have serious reasons for concern:
- Its main theme focuses on a single prophecy (ignoring all others) as the heart of an ancient mystery and the key to America's coming judgment.
- It redefines and misuses the Biblical word "vow."
- The "prophet" blends truth with dreams, mysticism and a false conclusion
The Ancient Prophecy
Most of us remember September 11, 2001 -- "a day of destruction" in America. The two hijacked planes that crashed into the Twin Towers had unhindered access, since our usually alert air defense system had apparently assigned its pilots elsewhere on that particular morning.
The next day, September 12, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle gave a verbal response to the terrorist attacks. "We will rebuild…" he told the anxious crowd. He continued,
"I know that there is only the smallest measure of inspiration that can be taken from this devastation. But there is a passage in the Bible from Isaiah that I think speaks to us all at times like this: 'The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig [or sycamore] trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars.'" [Isaiah 9:10] [p.117]Perhaps Mr. Daschle actually searched the Bible for a short encouraging Scripture that would bring hope to his listeners. Perhaps he didn't notice the Biblical context for that particular verse. In any case, his chosen words were heard across America, and few questioned the message.
But to Jonathan Cahn and his fictional "prophet" those were dangerous words.
That mysterious "prophet" guides the story through numerous providential encounters with his inquiring pupil, Nouriel. Using nine ancient "seals"
with hidden symbolic messages, he gradually leads Nouriel toward an
ominous conclusion: that the Old Testament prophecy in Isaiah 9:10-11
links America's fate to the destruction of ancient Israel. He suggests
that the troubles on Wall Street, our sinking economy, and the 9-11
destruction of the Twin Towers are all rooted in these ancient words:
The Vow"The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild ..." Isaiah 9:10
Cahn based his message on the dubious theory that Daschle's words "we will rebuild" were a prideful vow. But is that true?
No, it's not! Yet, when we read those words in the context of the entire prophecy, that conclusion may seem plausible to some:
"Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, who say in pride and arrogance of heart:
'The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with hewn stones;
The sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars."
Therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him,
And spur his enemies on, the Syrians before and the Philistines behind;
And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth." Isaiah 9:9-12
The Israelites who heard Isaiah's words
still had time to repent, yet they chose to honor their pagan idols
rather than our sovereign God. But there is no indication that they made a vow to
that effect. They would face His judgment -- but not for making a
foolish vow. Their actual sins were pride, rebellion [against God], and
idolatry. Stubborn and willful, they refused to repent.
Cahn's "prophet" would disagree. He believed that all who repeated those three words were guilty
of making a prideful vow -- including President Obama and the news
media. This dialogue between the "prophet" and his pupil illustrates the
deception:
"...the prophecy was proclaimed on the day after 9/11. Here the nation vowed the vow to emerge stronger than before. Seven years later the vow would be undone.""With the collapse of the economy.""Yes.... And what event, more than any other, would bring about that collapse?""The fall of Lehman Brothers."..."So the economic collapse was triggered on the seventh anniversary of the proclaiming of the ancient vow.""Just as in ancient times the same vow would ultimately lead to the collapse of ancient Israel.""A very dangerous vow." [pp.179-181]
Keep in mind, this supposed vow is the main foundation for Rabbi Cahn's argument. So to check his theory, I opened our large 1905 Webster's Dictionary and found this definition:
In other words, the actual Old Testament "vow" was far more than a simple statement of good or bad intentions. Failing to fulfill what was promised to God would bring serious consequences. That's why God warns His people to avoid rash or foolish vows (Judges 11:30). But I doubt that the political and media leaders of our increasingly secular nation were making any solemn promise to God when they repeated those three Old Testament words. Twisting Reality through Dreams and Mysticism"Vow (noun): A solemn promise made to God... by which one consecrates or devotes himself... wholly or in part to some act, service or condition.""Vow (verb): To give, consecrate or dedicate to God (or some other deity) by a solemn promise. 'When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.' Ecc 5:4-5." (More here)
Like God's true prophet Elijah, Cahn's "prophet" not only speaks mysterious truths supposedly from God, he also has power to transport himself in miraculous but timely ways. Does that make him more credible? Or would such fictional "miracles" conflict with God's guidance? After all, the Bible tells us that,
In Chapter 19, titled "The Mystery Ground," the "prophet" continues his lessons using the mysterious "seals" to enlighten Nouriel. As usual, the two men just "happened to" find each other in New York, near Wall Street. But this time, Nouriel has been prepared for their meeting through his own "dream." And, somehow, the "prophet" knows the content of that dream:"...no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:19-21"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied..." Jeremiah 23:21
"...the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak... that prophet shall die." Deuteronomy 18:18
Notice that Solomon is presented as a good and faithful king. The fact that he would soon marry pagan wives and accept their occult gods was ignored. Perhaps Cahn's fictional prophet was unaware of the words God spoke through the less famous prophet Ahijah:"The Temple of Jerusalem was the house of God's glory," said the prophet...."I saw it!" I said, my voice rising in pitch....That's what it was in the dream-the dedication of the Temple. I had a dream, and it began with Solomon leading a gathering of multitudes at the Temple...."Yes. The prayers of King Solomon were prophetic.... The Temple Mount was the nation's ground of dedication.""I saw it all in my dream.... And after the dedication, the sky turned dark and something like a storm was coming." (pp. 197-198]
At the end of Solomon's reign, only two of the twelve tribes would be ruled by his son, Rehoboam. "And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days." (1 Kings 14:30) Once again, the main reason for God's punishment was rampant idolatry, faithlessness and corruption."Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon...because they have forsaken Me, and worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the people of Ammon, and have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes... as did his father David." 1 Kings 11:28-33
But let's bypass that inconvenient part of history and continue with the dialogue:
Nouriel: "[George Washington] was there in the dream...at the dedication of the Temple....Prophet: "He was placing his hand on a Bible," said the prophet, "to swear. ...He was taking the oath of the presidency. It was the inauguration, April 30, 1789 [in New York], the beginning of America as a constituted nation....Nouriel "The inauguration of George Washington on the Temple Mount?"Prophet: "In your dream the two events were joined together-Israel's dedication and America's inauguration." [p.200]

A Closer look at Washington's Faith and Fears?
In his inauguration address, Washington said,
The man chosen to administer the oath was the Grand Master of Masons in New York. At least a dozen other masons participated, including George Washington himself. You may want to check some of these (outside) links [here, here and here] for a small glimpse of the spiritual warfare involved in the roots of our nation. They illustrate this disturbing synthesis of Biblical truth and occult mysticism."No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States.... It would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes." [p.200]
Six months after his inauguration, President Washington issued his grateful Thanksgiving Proclamation. It began with this statement:
"Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor.... Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be..."What was Washington's relationship to this lofty and somewhat impersonal God? According to Wikipedia (and my own web searches), his pastor affirmed that he often came to church. He showed respect for all religions but rarely discussed his own faith. And his titles for God sound more Masonic than Biblical, but that may be more of cultural than a spiritual issue .
Yet, as Washington became more aware of the links between American masons and the radical agenda within European freemasonry, his concern grew. He wrote the following two letters to a German immigrant:
[Mount Vernon, September 25, 1798] "Sir: Many apologies are due to you…for not thanking you, at an earlier period, for the book [Proofs of a Conspiracy, by John Robison] you had the goodness to send me." "I have heard much of the nefarious, and dangerous plan, and doctrines of the Illuminati, but never saw the book until you were pleased to send it to me. … I believe notwithstanding, that none of the [Masonic] Lodges in this Country are contaminated with the principles ascribed to the Society of the Illuminati."
[Second letter] "…It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am. ...I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country, had, as Societies, endeavored to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first [the Illuminati], or the pernicious principles of the latter [the Jacobins]...."[3]So did our first president eventually become a Christian? I don't know, but I would like to believe he did. Like ancient King Solomon, he had great wisdom, but only God knows his true faith.[4]
Truth and Tribulation
Rabbi Cahn calls his message "The Ancient Mystery that holds the secret of America's future," but it's no mystery to those who are familiar with God's warnings through Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel and other Old Testament prophets.
Their words and insights demonstrate God's concern for His wayward people and His loving forgiveness when we humbly repent and return. We would be foolish to ignore them, and wise to heed them.

Even though Rabbi Cahn only mentions one such warning, there are
countless others. Many are far more explicit and appropriate for our
times than Isaiah 9:10. Here are two examples:
Old Testament: "...it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.... that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. ... The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated.... The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow...
"But if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God... all these curses will come upon you.... The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me.... The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust....
"The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies.... A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor.... The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him...." Deuteronomy 28:1-47
Notice the encouraging end of the last Scripture. Yes, we will face hard times. Remember, trials and persecution have pursued God's faithful followers through the ages. But in the midst of darkness, His light shines all the more brightly.New Testament: "...all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition....Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. ...God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:11-13
Through the years, most Christians in America have enjoyed relatively easy lives: no starvation, no violent hatred, no fear of torturous assaults and the deadly persecution that continues to pursue God's people in other parts of the world. But worldly comforts tend to feed spiritual complacency, and few of us have had much teaching in the school of "joyful endurance."
So let's get on with our training in Him. Let's make sure His Word is "hidden" in our hearts. Let's "put on the whole armor of God." And let's build the habit of thanking and praising our wonderful Lord through every day! Then He will truly "hide us in His tabernacle" and fill our hearts with His peace.

(nëder) Vow, votive offering. ...This noun represents either the result of nãdar, i.e. a vow, or the thing offered to fulfill a vow. ... The noun occurs fifty-nine times.
"A closer description occurs in Num 30:3 where to nãdar a nëder is to swear to God with an oath (hishshaba' she bü'â, cf. Ps 132:2) and to bind one's self with what proceeds from one's mouth. Judge may grant house arrest to Pa. monsignor

judge might release a convicted Roman Catholic monsignor to await
sentencing if the Vatican will agree not to harbor him if he flees the
United States for Rome.
Lynn was convicted of felony child endangerment and is set for sentencing Aug. 13. He faces about 3-1/2 to seven years in prison. His lawyers insist he is not a flight risk. But prosecutors say at least 35 priests have fled during criminal cases, most apparently before trial.
Lynn has agreed to surrender his passport, and to waive extradition if he flees. But the judge first wants proof the Vatican will honor the waiver.
Lynn remained jailed Tuesday, pending a July 5 court date.

WND EXCLUSIVE- Obama attorneys argue he's not Dem nominee
The arguments were raised by attorney Mark Herron on behalf of Obama in a hearing before Judge Terry Lewis in Florida, who is best known for presiding over the 2000 Bush v. Gore election dispute.
Attorney Larry Klayman filed the challenge to Obama’s eligibility for the ballot on behalf of Michael Voeltz, who identifies himself in the complaint as “a registered member of the Democratic Party, voter, and taxpayer in Broward County.”
Attorneys representing Obama at the hearing, which was livestreamed by WND, argued that the Florida presidential preference primary, which listed Obama as the only Democrat nominee, didn’t make him the party’s nominee for president.
Herron argued the Florida process affirms only that Obama is the choice in the state’s presidential preference primary but is not necessarily the party’s nominee for president.

“This language clearly indicates the winner of the president preference primary, not the nominee of the party,” he said.
But the judge noted that the party wrote to Florida’s secretary of state a letter indicating Obama’s name was the only one submitted, and he thought the state’s electors were bound to vote for him.
“Wasn’t there a letter [that said] this is the only candidate whose name will appear?” Lewis asked.
Obama’s attorneys said such a decision “has not been triggered yet.”
Klayman argued that according to state law, when only one name is submitted, that person automatically becomes the nominee, even if the national Democratic Party nominating convention has not been held.
No decision was announced immediately. The judge said he would review the law, but he had pointed questions for both sides.
When Klayman noted the Founding Fathers established the natural-born citizen requirement because they wanted to avoid foreign influence on a president from a non-citizen parent, Lewis countered by posing a hypothetical situation in which a candidate’s two U.S.-citizen parents later emigrate to Israel.
Klayman said the Founding Fathers’ attempt to avoid a conflict of interest in the Oval Office did not include every possible scenario.
The judge asked whether the Democratic Party, as a private group, had a right to choose a nominee, even if that person was ineligible.
Lewis questioned a citation by Obama’s attorneys of a Florida law that suggests when only one person is on the ballot, that person becomes the nominee. He told the attorneys he would review the details of the law.
The arguments by Obama’s attorneys reflected their request that the judge simply dismiss the case because they claim a sitting president chosen by his party at multiple levels is not yet officially the nominee.
Klayman accused the Obama attorneys of playing a “shell game” and trying to put off the issue, as numerous courts did in 2008 until the election was over and Obama was inaugurated.
The judge could remove Obama’s name from the November ballot in Florida, a crucial swing state, should he determine that the Constitution’s requirement that a president be a “natural born citizen” can be applied at the primary level.

Klayman told WND that during a hearing last month on discovery issues in the case, Lewis noted that the plaintiff’s brief cited U.S. Supreme Court case Minor v. Happersett from 1875 defining “natural born citizen” as the offspring of two citizens of the nation, while the Obama campaign’s arguments provided no citations.
Defining the term is critical. Such a step has not been reached in any of the more than 100 legal cases that have been brought over Obama’s eligibility.
The U.S. Constitution’s “natural born citizen” requirement is not imposed on other federal officials. The writings of the Founders indicate the requirement was meant to ensure that no person who had divided loyalties would serve as commander in chief.
Klayman has argued that since Obama, by his own admission, was not born to two citizen parents, he is not a “natural born citizen” and, therefore, is ineligible to be a candidate on the state’s election ballot.
Florida’s election statutes provide broad protections for voters to ensure that the integrity of the election system is beyond reproach. One of the laws allows voters to challenge the nomination of a candidate who is not eligible for the office he is seeking.

into his presidency, and under media and political pressure, Barack
Hussein Obama published on the Internet an electronic version of a
purported birth certificate alleging his birth in Honolulu, Hawaii on
August 4, 1961, to American citizen mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, and
Kenyan British subject father, Barack Obama Senior.
There is credible evidence indicating that
this electronically produced birth certificate is entirely fraudulent
or otherwise altered. No physical, paper copy of the actual long form
birth certificate has been produced in order to definitively establish
Barack Hussein Obama’s birth within the United States.
The action follows by weeks the release of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigation into Obama’s eligibility. The investigation by professional law enforcement officers working on a volunteer basis for Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse found probable cause that Obama’s birth certificate was forged and fraudulently presented as a genuine document.
The plaintiff has submitted affidavits from Arpaio and others to support the claim.
The complaint explains that even if Obama was born within the United States, he is still not a “natural-born citizen” as required by the U.S. Constitution. That’s because his father was born in the British Colony of Kenya on June 18, 1936, making him a British subject, according to the British Nationality Act of 1948.
A case filing explains: “No physical, paper copy of defendant Obama’s birth certificate has been presented to establish his eligibility. … Defendant Obama has electronically produced a copy of what he purports to be his ‘birth certificate.’ Nevertheless, there is evidence to suggest that the electronically produced birth certificate is entirely fraudulent or otherwise altered.”
When asked by Judge Lewis, Klayman confirmed he could add to the complaint details of the evidence Obama was not born in the U.S.
Obama’s attorneys told the judge that other courts have decided that courts should not make such decisions and the process is better handled by Congress. They said state courts especially are not suited to making a decision on the eligibility of Obama.
“They are precluded from judging the qualifications of candidates for president of the United States,” the Obama attorneys said.
But Klayman pleaded with the judge to decide the issue, because a determination made after the election could negate Florida’s vote.
“Florida has a special duty not just on behalf of the citizens of Florida but on behalf of the United States,” he said.
Klayman referred to a recent Obama order to underscore the significance of the Founders’ desire that the president not have divided loyalties or “not even a hint of foreign influence.”
“Just a few days ago, he issued an executive order … which in effect allows illegal alien students who came into this country … to remain in this country. … The president’s own father was in fact here on a student visa and ultimately was deported because that visa expired.”
Klayman reiterated the Supreme Court’s Minor v. Happersett definition of “natural born citizen” as a person born in the country of two citizen parents.
“The point is this, your honor,” said Klayman. “The president is not like everybody else. If that was the case the framers would have said ‘citizens’ [can be president.]”
He accused Obama’s attorneys of trying to “push the issue down the road” until the legal process would fail due to lack of time.
“It’s a shell game,” Klayman said. ” … Neither the Florida Constitution nor the federal Constitution … would ever sanction what they are saying.”

In other words- to lift up. Most scriptures I looked at concerning praise
were directly related to singing, and/or playing on musical instruments.
Worship equals pressing yourself down in the presence of
the Lord, while praise is lifting Him up with words, song, dance, music, etc.
Many praise leaders are called worship leaders, but they
aren’t necessarily even worshipping for themselves.

worship!
It is possible to praise God and have His presence come
to receive the praise He is due, and still not be obedient to His word, and
therefore not be in worship. His
presence does not always equate to His approval. He promised to be with Israel, and He was!
Until He wasn’t. His promises are yea,
and amen, but His promises are also almost always conditional upon obedience. This is not salvation by works, but
repentance/baptism/receiving the Holy Ghost are not considered a works of
righteousness, scripturally.
Titus 3: 5. Not by
works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved
us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Read Acts
2:38)
He will yet save Israel, but the current people known as
Israel are not obedient to His word.
Many are professing atheists. At
His return, Israel will recognize Him and repent- then they will receive salvation.

This is where most
preachers stop. Just believe and call on
his name…but the scripture doesn’t stop there.

There is an obedience to the gospel that most don’t even
know about. What obedience? If the gospel is the good news, isn’t obedience just believing the good
news?

If you're walking in rebellion to the word, your praise won’t save
you. All of Israel experienced God’s
presence while walking in the desert 40 years, but all of that generation died in the
wilderness, not obeying, not living by faith. Imagine- seeing the might works of God in your midst, and still being in rebellion! Imagine, God saying that those who lived in the shadow of His might and watched miracle after miracle were disobedient by doubting Him and not believing His promises! Imagine that today! Now stop just imagining. That is reality today.
Living by faith means walking in obedience, not hope
alone. Faith without works is dead. Walking by faith is obeying the lord in the
face of adversity and an unbelieving world.
Living in hope that believing will be good enough… well the devils believed
in one God…and trembled.
James 2:
19. Thou believest
that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith
without works is dead?
Praise is good and scriptural, but it is NOT the same as
worship. True worship will always bring
you to praise. Praise too often takes the
place of worship in the believers life, and becomes a trap and a
deception. If you aren’t walking in
obedience, your heart is far from Him, no matter how loud you sing, or how
close He feels to you.

What Does Love Look Like?
A Christian response to Christian bashing by gays who accuse the church of hateful gay bashing...and unfortunately it does happen...
Matthew 5:
28. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Jesus exhibited love...
When approached by the scribes and pharisees in an attempt to find a reason to accuse him, after writing in the sand and in so doing dismisses the sinners condemning the sinner, he didn't condemn the sinner...but he still condemned the sin, and commanded...sin no more.
What does that look like today, in our society?
If I saw a car traveling down a road with a blind curve and just beyond that curve a bridge was out...and I didn't warn the driver of the danger ahead, I would NOT be displaying love for that man. If I just let him run on without concern for his well being, I am displaying a lack of love.
Today, the Christian world is seen as unloving for warning sinners to repent. Thieves get it. Murderers get it. Adulterers get it. Everyone wants Christians to preach love and acceptance, but Jesus did NOT accept the sin, and commanded to stop sinning.
Everyone sins, whether they want to admit it or not.
Acts 3: 19. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord..
Romans 4: 7. Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
1 Timothy 5: 24. Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
The last scripture above shows the difference between the saved sinner and lost sinner. The sinner who repents (even multiple times for the same sin) is the one whose sins are open beforehand,,,admitted and forsaken purposefully. The sinner who doesn't repent is the one whose sins follow after and meet them at the white throne judgment. The first group is covered by the blood of Jesus, and the second group is not.
Hebrews 10: 14. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

The non-church world doesn't get it, and some of the church world becomes arrogant and legalistic/pharisee minded, forgetting they are still sinners, saved by grace, but we become sanctified by obeying the word of God. We are sanctified by the blood/ water/ and Spirit: Heb.13:12/Eph
5:26/ Rom.15:16 by obeying the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ 1Cor.15:1-4. We do that by following Acts 2:38 with our own death, burial and resurrection:
Acts 2: 38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent (death to self will), and be baptized (we are buried with Christ in baptism- Romans 6:6) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (our resurrection power-Romans 8:11).
39. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (to those who repent, and are baptized in Jesus name, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost)
40. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

For the church to try being seeker friendly by being intimidated against speaking truth in love...is to bypass the seekers. Those who love the truth come to the light. Everyone else just wants to be accepted in their lost state without being reminded they will burn forever for their lack of love for God and His word.
Love Must Warn The Sinner, Even It It Makes Them All Mad- Out Of Love!
2 Thesslonians 2:
10. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12. That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
We aren't trying to make you feel inferior to us, just trying to make you safe. If that offends you, stop paying attention to us, and stop hating us for trying to love you.
