"VATICAN CITY–Pope Benedict XVI opened Holy Week on Sunday amid one of the most serious crises facing the Catholic Church in decades, with protesters in London demanding he resign and calls in Switzerland for a central registry for pedophile.'

As usual, Pope Benedict did not mention the widening scandal during his Palm Sunday homily.

"This year, the most solemn week on the Church's liturgical calendar has been stained by a clerical abuse scandal that has spread across Europe to the Pope's native Germany. In London on Sunday, a few dozen people gathered outside Westminster Cathedral to demand the Pope resign. Demonstrators carried placards saying 'Pope? Nope!' and 'Don't Turn a Blind Eye'."

The Pope himself has been implicated in the coverup of priests who have sexually abused children.

"The Vatican has been on the defensive amid questions about the Pope's handling of sex abuse cases both when he was archbishop of Munich and when he headed the Vatican's doctrinal office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was Munich archbishop when a priest was allowed to resume pastoral work with children even while receiving therapy for pedophilia. He was later convicted of abusing minors. In addition, a case has come to light in which Ratzinger's deputy told Wisconsin bishops to quash a church trial for a priest alleged to have abused up to 200 deaf boys."

Why is the Roman Catholic Church so beset by sexual scandals by its priests? Further, why are these rogue priests then coddled by their superiors, who most often refuse to call the police -- as the law requires -- but simply transfer them to a far-away church where they can resume their molestation on a fresh new group of young boys.

Now, let us return to our original premise. Quoting pertinent excerpts from a Cutting Edge archived article, NEWS2401, entitled, "The Next Pope Could Very Well Be The False Prophet of Revelation 13".

Pope Benedict XVI is the 11th Pope since the prophecy of St. Malachy, an Irish bishop who at his death in 1148 A.D. was discovered to have left behind a prophetic list of all future popes beginning with Pope Celestine II, whose papacy began in 1143 A.D. 'While in Rome in 1139, Saint Malachy is said to have gone into a trance and received a vision in which he foresaw all the popes from the death of Innocent II until the end of time. Afterward he wrote a few words about each pope and gave the manuscript to Pope Innocent II, who is said to have deposited it in Vatican Archives, where it lay forgotten until it was discovered in 1590 and published. At the time, some questioned its authenticity and it has been the subject of debate ever since. The manuscript contains 112 prophecies, which scholars have matched with each of the 110 popes and anti-popes since Innocent II ..."

"Malachy included a single line in Latin identifying a characteristic of each pope. Historians say Malachy's prediction – wherein he listed just 112 popes – has been amazingly accurate."

112. The last pope! "Petrus Romanus"

This designation seems to imply that the final pope -- the actual False Prophet -- might come from Rome, from the line of the Romans. This possibility makes Biblical sense, for Antichrist himself is prophesied from coming out of a "Revived Roman Empire" (Daniel 9:26b).

Therefore, it is consistent to think that the last pope might be a Roman, an Italian, with roots back to Imperial Rome. In fact, since the Roman Catholic Church has always falsely claimed that the Apostle Peter was their first pope, it seems logical that they would plan on their last pope being "Petrus Romanus"! Listen to the explanation given in our first featured article, above:

"Wrote St. Malachy of the last pope: 'In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge the people. The End'." [Ibid.]

Does this pagan Catholic prophecy sound like this genuine prophetic Scripture?

"And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will be the very ones to hate the harlot (the idolatrous woman); they will make her cheerless (bereaved, desolate), and they will strip her and eat up her flesh and utterly consume her with fire ... the woman that you saw is herself the great city which dominates and controls the rulers and the leaders of the earth." [Revelation 17:16, 18; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

We will watch this story line with great interest. World events are occurring which give great credence to our belief that the End of the Age is upon us and the start of the final global war will begin, a conflagration which will place Antichrist and his False Religious Prophet on the world scene. If this World War III is very close to starting, then we should expect corollary events to occur. One of these corollary events would be the ascension to the Throne of Peter of the final Pope, the man who will become the False Prophet of Revelation -- the Beast who had two horns like a lamb but who would roar like a lion! (Revelation 13:11).

This wording means that this Second Beast will pretend to be a Christian and will be accepted as such, but he will be full of Satan's power and will "roar like a lion" on Antichrist's behalf. This next Pope will be the Final Pope -- #112 -- according to St. Malachy's occult prophecy. Since we know that God allows the demonic host a limited amount of prophetic foreknowledge, it is possible that this prophecy will prove accurate to the final detail.

I've seen the cover of this book advertised at different sites, but just didn't get the bug to bite...until now. If you click on the title of this post (after watching the video sells pitch) you can go to a website that posts a three part series, radio broadcast interviewing the author of this book. It is a mind-blowing interview, and now I have to read the book to find out what he didn't have time to reveal in the interview, which is still very revealing. Even without having read the book, I would advise it. I would advise 1st listening to the radio interview, then you won't need a sales pitch.

Pope stresses Christian unity at Lutheran church

Mixed Signals, missed by both the media and mainstream protestantism, I fear.

Protestants should be thankful that Roman Catholicism isn't at full scale war with her!

That's the message I see. The only reason the Roman Church is not at full scale war-OPENLY- is Romes fear of loosing that war. When she no longer feels the need to hide behind ambiguous wording and loosing that war, she will take off the mask!

(Reuters) - Pope Benedict told Rome's Lutheran congregation on Sunday that Protestants and Roman Catholics should be thankful for all the unity achieved among Christians rather than complain about the slow pace of dialogue.

The movement has brought Christian churches closer together in recent decades but has lost momentum lately.

Some Protestants, especially in Germany, say Benedict has contributed to that by stressing more strongly the Catholic claim to be the only true church.

They say he also seems more interested in improving ties with the theologically conservative Orthodox churches than with more liberal Protestant groups.

In the Vatican's view, several Protestant churches have drifted away from common ground by ordaining women as priests and bishops or blessing same-sex marriages.

"We have divided the one path into many, so the witness we should give has been obscured," Benedict told the German-speaking congregation, which his predecessor John Paul II visited in 1983, in their common native tongue."

The above bold statement is true, they have divided the one path into many! The ONE WAY is only found in scripture. The only way found in scripture is Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

When protestantism began, its leaders were almost exclusively Roman priests defecting for revealed truth. They took with them Roman Catholic traditions...sprinkling for baptism, trinity formula in baptism.

A harlot is a woman who assumes intimate privileges only allowed to a bride. The great Harlot church, as understood by those same protestant pioneers was the Roman Catholic Church. What they didn't understand was the part that calls her the "Mother of Harlots". What makes the true church the bride is that we have taken the name of Christ upon ourselves in baptism.

If you have read 1984 by George Orwell, you probably remember Big Brother's mind-changing creed:

"War is PEACE. Freedom is SLAVERY. Ignorance is STRENGTH."[5]

It illustrates the Soviet double-speak used to confuse, transform, and then unify a compliant mass of contented slaves. And now, seventy years after its publication, Orwellian double-speak is spreading this confusion faster than ever. In this upside-down world, wrong seems right, good is called evil, and lies are simply the new convenient truths. Since feelings count more than facts, illusion reigns, oppression spreads, Jihad is justified, and the Bible is banned!

The true God behind our national Thanksgiving celebrations doesn't conform to America's changing values. But other spiritual options are filling the gaps as they sweep across our land. Blinding eyes to His truth, they cloud history, and mock the faith that built honesty, truth, and integrity into America's foundation. Sad to say, that foundation is now crumbling fast. As God warned us,

"...when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them... [then] your heart is lifted up and you forget the Lord your God. ...you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ ...if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods... you shall surely perish." THE RISE OF A GLOBAL SPIRITUALITY

On September 17, 1995, I signed in at Mikhail Gorbachev's well guarded State of the World Conference as an official [amateur] reporter. I wanted a first-hand glimpse of the global plans for the 21st Century -- plans that helped build the foundation for today's rapid change.

This was clearly a global event. The former head of the Soviet Union had gathered "nearly 500 senior states-people, political leaders, spiritual leaders, scientists, intellectuals, business executives, artists and youth from 50 nations to begin a process of deliberation on the central question of what priorities, values and actions should guide humanity as it moves into the next phase of development."[6] As Gorbachev announced,

"From the outset I would like to suggest that we consider the establishment of a global Brain Trust [forget representative government] to focus on the present and future of our civilization ... this idea of a Brain Trust can only succeed if endorsed and actively pursued by people who are widely respected as world leaders and global citizens."[7]

The elite speakers and partners in this venture included the elder president George Bush, Carnegie Chairman David Hamburg, Ted Turner, Maurice Strong ( the New Age head of the UN's 1992 environmental conference in Rio de Janeiro), and Zbigniew Brzezinski, founder of the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller. Thirteen years later he became a foreign policy adviser to Barack Obama.

An elegant Baha'i singer in a flowing white gown set the spiritual tone with a prayer to her universal god: "O faithful One... O helping one... Source of all being..." The music was her own, she said -- given by the unknowable, compassionate god of Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and other spiritual avatars throughout time.

Her prayer-song fit the conference theme. As Mikhail Gorbachev observed during a dialogue on a new form of democracy,

"...there was no trace of the futile debate about what is better, capitalism or socialism.... We should seek a synthesis of ideas and values that have proven their viability..."[7]

That synthesis abolishes all Biblical absolutes. Again and again, the Communist leader and his hand-picked "council of the wise" or "global brain trust" told the assembly of more than 1000 guests and participants that a new set of inclusive universal values must replace the Judeo-Christian world view. Familiar terms must be redefined to fit the new global perspective, while the old beliefs and political systems must be abandoned.

Like many other speakers, New Age author Dr. Deepak Chopra repeated the call for synthesis in his evening plenary speech. He challenged his friendly listeners with this question:

"Can you step out of the river of your own conditioning...? For only then is there an opportunity to create... a new world. We cannot do it the way we have done it in the past. It is time to change the whole paradigm through which we view physical reality."[7]

Apparently, these esteemed visionaries had already made that paradigm shift. The conference left little doubt that the chosen speakers and enthusiastic audience viewed reality from a decidedly evolutionary/universalist perspective -- the kind that popular author Dan Brown promoted through his latest book on the philosophy behind Freemasonry and the mystical Noetic Sciences.

The spiritual leaders addressing the Forum taught either pantheism ("God" in all), universalism (all paths lead to the same ultimate reality), or monism (all is one) as the world's new spiritual foundation. Among them were New Age educator Willis Harman, Esalen co-founder Michael Murphy, Sonia Gandhi, and revered representatives of Vietnamese, Mongolian, and Cambodian Buddhism. Their input during panel discussion and roundtable sessions left no doubt that Biblical Christianity was marked for decay.

Astronomer Carl Sagan showed us pictures of our tiny blue planet in the midst of a vast galaxy in an infinite universe --- then scolded those who still viewed minuscule individuals as significant pieces of the cosmic puzzle.

Had they forgotten the horrors of collectivism -- and the environmental devastation -- spawned by the Communist ideology that Gorbachev never renounced?

MURDER, MYSTICISM AND IMMORALITY

Sam Keen, author of "Fire in the Belly," gave the closing plenary message:

"...there was very strong agreement that religious institutions have to take primary responsibility for the population explosion.... Cut the population by 90 percent and there aren't enough people left to do a great deal of ecological damage."[7]

The applause was deafening!

Kill millions of people? How? What happened to love, compassion, and concern for the poor? These leaders had called for poverty programs, gun control, and global financial redistribution as if they wanted to save lives. Were these schemes simply a stepping stone toward global control? Did no one care about the individual lives behind the faceless masses?

As in the former Soviet Union, an ordinary person's life becomes worthless in this pragmatic context for global management! The illusive "common good" becomes little more than an Orwellian phrase that limits personal rights and freedom -- but promotes unrestrained immorality. Notice the way Keen rationalizes his values in these quotes from "Hymns to an Unknown God":

"Imagination allows us to sample in fantasy what is inexpedient or demonic to act out. Dionysus, the [Greek] god of excess and ecstasy [same as the Roman god Bacchus], rules supreme in dreamland.... An amoral imagination provides us with the experience in dreamtime of living 'beyond good and evil' that is necessary for the development of Compassion."[8]

That's what mysticism is all about! Experience -- the spiritual experience of an unknown god! A deceptive journey into the realm of demons where lies and licentiousness reign! Perhaps he doesn't realize that such captivating immoral "ideals" have eroded freedom and destroyed lives since the beginning of time.

It's not surprising that Christianity has aroused such hatred. God's Truth -- in contrast to amoral, feel-good myths -- is full of warnings that we ignore at our peril. For example,

"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Genesis 6:5

THE SPREADING DARKNESS

The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown's latest book includes a dialogue between Robert Langdon (the friendly protagonist) and Peter Solomon (his older friend and mentor, a respected professor, a 33rd degree Mason and the Supreme Worshipful Master). The two men are exploring the Masonic signs, symbols, and secrets hidden in the Washington Monument, an Egyptian obelisk. Notice how God's Word is twisted into a mystical icon of all religions.

“Robert, the Bible does not talk openly for the same reason the Ancient Mystery Schools were kept hidden.... for the same reason the neophytes had to be initiated before learning the secret teachings of the ages.... The Ancient Mysteries and the Bible are the same thing.'...

“Peter, the Bible and the Ancient Mysteries are total opposites. The mysteries are all about the god within you. . . man as god. The Bible is all about the God above you...'

“Yes! Exactly! ... The moment mankind separated himself from God, the true meaning of the Word was lost. The voices of the ancient masters have now been drowned out, lost in the chaotic din of self-proclaimed practitioners [probably pointing to Christians] shouting that they alone understand the Word....'

“We’ve lost the Word, and yet its true meaning is still within reach.... It exists in all the enduring texts, from the Bible to the Bhagavad-Gita to the Koran and beyond. All of these texts are revered upon the altars of Freemasonry because Masons understand what the world seems to have forgotten... that each of these texts, in its own way, is quietly whispering the exact same message.' Peter’s voice welled with emotion. ‘Know ye not that ye are gods?’...

"Peter lowered his voice to a whisper. 'The Buddha said, ‘You are God yourself.’ ... Even the first antipope—Hippolytus of Rome—quoted the same message, first uttered by the gnostic teacher Monoimus: ‘Abandon the search for God. . . instead, take yourself as the starting place.'...

“'A wise man once told me,' Peter said, his voice faint now, 'the only difference between you and God is that you have forgotten you are divine.'”[9]

This deception is the fulfillment of the serpent's promise in Genesis 3: "You will be like God." That has been the driving force within occult orders through the ages. Now it's coming out into the open.

One of the first public celebrities to proclaim this arrogant lie was New Age movie star Shirley MacLaine. "I am God," she shouted to the world back in the 1980s.

I met her at the end of Gorbachev's conference. She happened to walk by, and I asked her what she thought of the conference.

"It was good. It helped raise consciousness," she answered.

"But wouldn't it have raised more consciousness if one of the meals had just been rice instead of gourmet meats and elegant desserts?" I asked. After all, some speakers had emphasized global equality and concern for the poor.



She frowned. "People paid a lot of money to come here," she answered. "They deserved good food."

As George Orwell pointed out, some people in socialist collectives are meant to be "more equal than others!" In a totalitarian system, all the thanks must go to the state and/or its elite rulers -- "equal" or not!



ALL THE MORE, WE WILL THANK OUR GOD!

Both socialism and idolatry have a way of building a sense of entitlement: "I deserve it." But with God, it's different! We don't deserve any of His wonderful gifts! Yet His undeserved grace is available for all who will trust and follow Him!

"...thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ!" 2 Corinthians 2:14

Is this Psy-op a Portent? by Henry Makow Ph.D.

It's disturbing when a respected Illuminati researcher like Wes Penre is taken in by a psy-op. But we can learn from his mistake, and also glean some credible information from the lies directed at him.

I like Wes and admire his website Illuminati news.com where he often posts my material. However, I don't intend to compound his error.

Starting in January, Penre has written an astonishing five-part series about a Tennessee-based, 35-year-old playboy- tycoon who Penre says is literally the incarnation of Lucifer but "redeemed." [Penre has pulled this series- see below] It's all hush-hush and Penre's life is in danger. He has been contacted by defectors who said young Supriem David Rockefeller dictates to the likes of Henry Kissinger, Zbig Brzezinski and George H.W. Bush. He is going to save mankind by instituting a benevolent New World Order. He wants to atone for the Rebellion against God which is the source of all of mankind's problems. He wants us to accept his rule so he can clean up the mess. (Right, and I have some land in Florida...)

"I truly do believe Supriem is Lucifer, " Penre says. Penre's acceptance of this hoax is worrisome. If an intelligent, rational person like Wes Penre can succumb, what will happen to the rest of us?

ORIGINS

Penre explains Supriem's origins with a comic book legend straight out of Superman. Supriem's grandfather worked at Area 51 and met aliens "who told of the Supreme child who will be born in 1974 who will be the true Messiah, God incarnate and only part human. The child will have to choose which path to travel, to bring Revelations in the Bible to fruition or bring the planet into light and life from the Urantia book.

"Penre was told each President of the United States has a Urantia Book in their office. It is known as the Blue Book, that is why the USAF called the UFO investigation Project Blue Book. "If this is true, it makes sense why people like Bush, Clinton, Obama and most of the other Presidents throughout history have eagerly worked towards the goal of a One World Government."

The announcement by the antichrist that he is lord of the temple, and the commencement of the two preachers testifying the truth of the word of God, and the truth of the soon return of the messiah will kick off the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. After the stoppage of the Jewish temple sacrifices ( which won't take long after the starting off the sacrifices) we are 1/2 way through the last 7 yrs.

2 Thessalonians 2
1. Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, (Read:rapture!)
2. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

LOGIC

An important factor is overlooked by the exponents of sprinklng. The original New Testament text and the spoken language of that day was Greek. The authors of the New Testament knew the Greek word "Baptizo" meant to immerse. They also knew the Greek word "rantizo" meant to sprinkle. These often used words were never interchangeable, having seperate meanings. If God had intended for His ministers to sprinkle, the Greek word "rantizo" would have been employed, not "baptizo."If sprinkling cannot be found in the Bible, then you are practicing a tradition of man, which makes the "word of God of none effect." Mark 7:13

INFANT BAPTISM

As with sprinkling, the doctrine of infant baptism cannot be found in the New Testament without adding to it.Scripture logic cries out against infant baptism. The very mode (immersion) makes it illogical and impractical. The teaching surrounding baptism automatically prohibits it.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS!

MATT. 28:19 - "Teach all nations, baptizing them" - Teaching or preaching must precede baptism. See Acts 2:41

ACTS 8:36,37 - Eunuch. "What doth hinder me to be baptized?" Phillip, "If Thou believest with all thine heart." Believing is a prerequisite of baptism. See, Mark 16:16.

ACTS 2:38 - "Repent and be baptized everyone of you." Repentance must precede Baptism. See, Luke 24:47.

A child should be old enough to receive teaching, believe, and repent of sin before being baptized. Dedicating children to God and asking Him to bless them is Biblical. This Jesus did in Luke 18:15-17, Matthew 19:13-15

IS IT IN THE PLAN OF SALVATION
Listed below are three of many reasons why baptism is an absolute necessity

1. THE BIBLE SAYS SO!

JOHN 3:5 - "Except a man be born of the water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." Most Bible commentaries agree that water here refers to baptism.** See, Matthew-Henry, Adam Clark, Hist. Christian Church, Walker, Catholic Encycl., Oxford Dict. of Church, Interpreters Dict. of Bible., Temples Bible Dict.**

MARK 16:16 - "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." Notice how Jesus places baptism in conjunction with salvation.

1 Peter. 3:21 - "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us." Also see Acts 10:6 and 48.

2. IT REMITS SIN

HEBREWS 9:22 - The application of the blood of Christ is necessary to remit sin. What then is the Biblical way to receive remission of sin? The answer to this question will also be the only way to get the Saviour's blood applied.LUKE 24:47 - "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name...." (Jesus)

ACTS 2:38 - "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..." The blood of Jesus is applied only through water baptism in the name of Jesus. Also see 1 John 5:8 and Acts 22:16

3. BAPTIZED INTO CHURCH

Every New Testament church was formed by those whom were baptized into the faith after believing and repenting. Gal 3:27 and 1 Cor 12:13

CHURCH AT SAMARIA - Believed and were baptized, men & women. Acts - :12-16
CHURCH AT CAESAREA - Peter commanded them to be baptized. Acts 10:48

Which of These Were Practiced By the Apostles in the Early Church?

Matthew 28:19 was a command by Jesus to baptize in the NAME. The Apostoles did not repeat the word of the command, but they did obey it as seen in the scriptures above. Since Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles of the manifestations of the Almighty Spirit and His body, the Apostoles understood His SAVING NAME to be JESUS. Can any dare say that the Apostoles disobeyed the Lord, or failed to baptize properly? THE NAME OF THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST IS LORD JESUS CHRIST. The actions of the Apostles in the Book of Acts prove this to be true.

HOW DID THE EARLY CHURCH INTERPRET CHRIST'S COMMAND IN MATTHEW 28:19? ACTS 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, and 19:5 are four Biblical refernces that answer this question. If the Biblical record is not enough, please examine the findings of the educated, scholars, and historians.

IS IT AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY THAT THE NAME OF JESUS BE SPOKEN OR CALLED OVER A CANDIDATE FOR WATER BAPTISM WHEN HE IS BEING BAPTIZED? For the answer to this question, please read Acts 15:17 and James 2:7 [Greek Linear]. First Century Christians INVOKED OR CALLED the name of Jesus over believers in water baptism. If, as some say, "the name of Jesus means the authority of Jesus", then so much more should the NAME, rather than the titles, be called over an individual in baptism. Read Matthew 28:18, Acts 4:12 and Colossians 2:9. Jude 3 is an exhortation to "CONTEND FOR THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED TO THE SAINTS." See Galatians 1:8-9 also. Should anyone dare to change what CHRIST and the Apostles established?
