Isaiah 9:
6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

What religion could have the audacity to call their prophet the mighty God, the everlasting father, and the prince of peace, other than Christianity?

The bible clearly shows that Jesus is not only a prophet, but the creator!

John 1:
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. The same was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Col.1:

Hebrews 1:

Some teach that while Isaiah 9:6 does say Jesus is a mighty god, he doesn't claim to be the ALMIGHTY God, but then I read ...

Rev.1: 8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus absolutely claims to be the ALMIGHTY God!

What religion has a prophet that claims to be the messiah other than Christianity?

John 4:
21. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The world is soon to discover that the LORD of the old testament, Jehovah, is none other than Jesus Christ.

Zechariah12:
9. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zechariah 13:
6. And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

Jesus will pour out upon Israel the spirit of grace and of supplications when he comes back, and they recognize the fact that they have been fighting their own redeemer for 2,000 years! Israel will repent and be saved by grace. We all are only saved by grace!

How about you? Are you saved by grace?

The New Age Jesus being presented to the world by the false teachers of the day are selling a false Jesus, relegated to the office of merely another avatar like Krishna, or Buddha, or the Bab. But all of these false gods and all the false prophets, like Mohammad, and Joseph Smith, fall laughably short of the truth! Only the Christian Jesus is the Almighty creator supreme Deity, born of human flesh by a virgin! All others are liars, pretenders, and thieves.

Is Non-Trinitarianism Cultish?

According to most main line & evangelical Christians, the answer is a resounding YES!

Why do they feel this way? Because, this is what most have been taught. Does that make it true? Does evolution have to be true just because many have been taught that if you doubt it's true, you are an ignorant and hoplelessly foolish human? No. Evolution is a lie. Do all evangelicals agree on this statement? No. Does believing in creationism make a Christian believer lost? I don't know of any that teach that, even if they are convinced those holding to creationism are backwards and foolish...but probably saved. But creationism is absolutely biblical. It comes directly from the word of God.

 

Does trinitarianism come absolutely from the word of God...or from the extrapolations some have pulled from the word, then condemning all who oppose as heretics?

 According to "The Kingdom of the Cults" author, Walter Martin, "

"One prominent trait of all non-Christian religions and cults is their pointed denial of the scriptural doctrine of the Trinity and the deity of Jesus Christ."

 What if you accept the deity of Jesus, but refute the doctrine of the trinity? Are you then partially cultish?

 YES! IF that is what Jesus taught, or the apostles, or if it could be quoted from the Old Testament (or New Testament) somewhere. The problem is...Jesus didn't, nor the apostles, nor any of the prophets. If you research the teaching, you will find that... 

It is manifest that a dogma so mysterious presupposes a Divine revelation. When the fact of revelation, understood in its full sense as the speech of God to man, is no longer admitted, the rejection of the doctrine follows as a necessary consequence.

Then further arguments are presented by quoting their own (Roman Catholic) sources as being alone worthy of acceptence. The Roman Catholic Church (as Mystery Babylon) must teach a trinity in order to get Mary to be "venerated" as the Queen of Heaven". The Queen of Heaven was always and is still Semiramis, the female usurper to Nimrod as the prevailing deity. How many Roman Catholics pray repeatedly to Jesus, and how many pray to Mary repeatedly? I'm guessing (since I'm not Roman Catholic) that Mary gets many more prayers than Jesus. Especially since Roman Catholics are taught they should pray to Mary directly instead of Jesus, because Jesus may not grant YOUR request, but will NEVER deny his own mother's requests. Where is THAT found in scripture?

 If you must extrapolate your doctrines from scattered scriptures not explicitly stating a doctrine, that doctrine being extrapolated is mere philosophy!

      Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Scripture absolutely teaches the divinity/deity of Jesus. He is the Creator! The Almighty God! But nowhere do we read he is a trinity.

Believing in the trinity is THE doctrine required by the Roman Catholic church in order to be saved...to make you a Roman Catholic.

"1. Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is is necessary that he hold the Catholic Faith.
2. Which Faith except everyone do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.
3. And the Catholic Faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity,

Roman Catholic Doctrine...taken with the break-away Protestants. It is still Roman Catholic doctrine! You say your not a Roman Catholic, but hold to her doctrines? Did you know that according to the Roman Catholic church, as long as you have been baptized into the trinity... you don't need to be rebaptized if you join their church. But if you were baptized in Jesus name... like all the apostles, and every Christian believer in the New Testament...including Mary the mother of Jesus, your baptism is invalid! So according to their doctrine, Mary wasn't even saved?!!?? Right, like they believe that.

The only definition should be #4- sound or correct in opinion or doctrine, especially theological or religious doctrine.  The only yardstick for sound doctrine in the Christian faith should be the bible.  Jesus said...

Matthew 15:
 8.  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
 9.  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 

In John 7 Jesus further stated:
16.  Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 

At the beginning of the Church, orthodoxy was established further by the apostles.
Acts 2:
 38.  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Religious revision has captured  the Christian faith by its being conquered by pagan Rome entering via emperor Constantine. 

Romans 16:
 17.  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
 18.  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 

Funny, that was written by the apostle Paul to the Roman Christians, and it was in Rome that Constantine's new brand of Christianity began the process of dividing the truth out of the doctrines of the church, supplanting them with creeds- the doctrines of men!  

When the Protestant movement finally began breaking away from many of the errors of the Roman church, they were mostly Roman clerics...trained in the Roman faith...and creeds.  Unfortunately they didn't get enough of Rome out of the emerging protestant church, and took Roman doctrines/creeds with them.  

Nowhere in scripture does it say the Godhead is 3 "persons".  Nowhere in scripture is found the phrase "God the Son" or "God the Holy Ghost".  The only thing we read about a "Queen of Heaven" is where God rebuked Israel for participating in the pagan practice! Read Jeremiah chapts.7 and  44.

Currently, main stream "Christianity" attacks T. D. Jakes as a heretic, for not agreeing 100% with mainstream "trinitarians" and for not claiming to hold to the creeds and teachings of the "early church fathers".  (Since the original posting, T.D. Jakes has brought more of his true leanings into question for me, too! He is appearing with Oprah Winfrey by her request.  http://www.oprah.com/pressroom/Oprahs-Lifeclass-Tour-in-Canada#ixzz1nv6IWK3S.)  The true early church fathers were the original apostles, including Paul.

Church revisionism has made biblical Christianity heretical!  Rome's control over religious thought should be rejected by all protestant churches!  By quoting "early church fathers" as an authority when these same "fathers" are practitioners of pagan Rome can not be considered as valid if they are in disagreement with  scripture.  When any philosophy carries more weight than the bible, it is wrong!  Even if everybody accepts the error... it is still error!  If everybody accepts the error, by definition the accepted error is orthodoxy.

Being "orthodox" in your faith doesn't make you right, or even really in the New Testament "Church." 

What Do We Believe about Jesus

What the Masons believe:

View on Jesus: "Jesus was just a man. He was one of the "exemplars," one of the great men of the past, but not divine and certainly not the only means of redemption of lost mankind. He was on a level with other great men of the past like Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras and Mohammed. His life and legend were no different from that of Krishna, the Hindu god. He is "the son of Joseph," not the Son of God."

What the Mormons believe:

View on Jesus:  A separate god from Elohim, as is the Holy Spirit a separate God.  All three are worshiped but not as 3 in 1.  Technically they are tri-theistic, but consider themselves to be monotheistic because they only worship the 3 gods of Earth.  All planets have their own 3 Gods!

Jesus was a created offspring from a physical union between Elohim and an unknown spirit wife, as well as from a physical union between Elohim and Mary.  Jesus is a spirit brother to all created beings, including Lucifer.  While alive on the earth, was married, and will remain married for eternity in heaven.

What Roman Catholics and her daughters believe:

View on Jesus: The eternal Son, 2^nd “person” of the Trinity; born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross, was buried and rose again the 3^rd day, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to judge us all.  They view Jesus as Mary’s only child. (Matt.13:55-56) Not found in church writings before 325AD. 

What 7th Day Adventists believe:

View on Jesus: Mrs. White: "Christ took upon His sinless nature our sinful nature ... Christ took human nature and bore the infirmities and degeneracy of the race. He took our nature and its deteriorating condition" (Q.D., pp. 654-656) (cf. Jn. 14:30). According to SDA, then, Christ acquired a sinful nature! Of course, if this could have been so, there could have been no sinless sacrifice, no hope for sinners, and no Savior

Also called Michael, the arch-angel, Eternal Son incarnate, born of the Virgin Mary. Death burial and resurrection ascended into heaven, and  in the sanctuary, began a work of paying for the offenses of all humanity. That work was completed  Oct.22, 1844 

What the Jehovah's Witnesses Believe:

View of Jesus:  Jesus was Michael the archangel until he decided to go to earth to pay the penalty for sin, then his name was changed to Jesus.  Jesus (Micheal)  was the beginning of the creation of God, the express image of the invisible God, and was the instrument by which all things were created.  He was born of the virgin, Mary, lived a perfect life, and was tortured and killed to pay the price for the offences of all people throughout human history.  He was resurrected, ascended to heaven and will return one day to establish God’s kingdom on the earth. 

They teach Jesus did return invisible in 1914 and was enthroned as King of heaven.  In 1918 Jesus began to resurrect from among the dead those from the 144,000people who would join him in heaven. Despite Christ’s reign, Jesus is still considered inferior to and completely distinct from Jehovah God.  

What the Muslims believe:

View of Jesus:  Called Isa, his Arabic name; born of a virgin, Mary, but as a miracle without a father.  Isa performed miracles intended to affirm him as Allah’s prophet.  They teach Isa (Jesus) could speak as a newborn.  They deny Jesus was crucified on the cross, or that Jesus died for the sins of all people.  After the end of his ministry, Jesus (Isa) returned to God fully alive, and not resurrected.  Isa foretold the coming of Mohammad rather than the coming of the Holy Spirit.  Isa will one day return and unite the world under the rule of Islam.  Isa will rule for several decades and die peacefully in Medina, where he will be buried in a reserved grave next to Mohammad.

Rev. 1: 8.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

To reiterate:

John 1: 15.  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Acts 1: 3-9  And ye shall be witnesses unto me…

This is our witness…that Jesus is the Almighty Creator God Jehovah of the OT who became Emmanuel, being interpreted is God with us.  The difference between the Light and the darkness is this understanding!

 

What Do They Believe-Roman Catholics

Beginning: Catholics consider Peter the 1^st pope. (Gal.2:6-8) Gregory the Great (pope 540-604 instituted Roman Bishop supremacy over all other bishops. Actually the RCC was born out of the Council of Nicea 325 AD, under the guidance of Roman Emperor Constantine who was Supreme Pontiff of the Babylonian religion.

How Rome Became Mystery Babylon (Great Whore & Mother of Harlots Rev.17:1-5)
Clarence Larkin’s classic commentary, The Book of Revelation (© 1918 Rev. Clarence Larkin Estate; p. 151-152), explains how the Caesars and Popes obtained the title and headship of the “Babylonian Priesthood” mysteries which Hislop’s book also explains. A brief history is required as to how Rome obtained this title. So, the seat of Satan was Babylon, but it was defeated by Media-Persia whose capitol was Pergamos. The Persians brought the Babylonian priesthood and rites to their capitol.

Quoting Mr. Larkin: “When Attalus, the Pontiff and King of Pergamos, died B.C. 133, he bequeathed the Headship of the Babylonian Priesthood to Rome. When the Etruscans came to Italy from Lydia (The region of Pergamos), they brought with them the Babylonian religion and rites. They set up a Pontiff who was head of the Priesthood. Later the Romans accepted this Pontiff as their civil ruler. Julius Caesar was made Pontiff of the Etruscan Order in B.C. 74. In B. C. 63, he was made Supreme Pontiff of the “Babylonian Order,” thus becoming heir to the rights an title of Attalus, Pontiff of Pergamos…Thus the first Roman Emperor become head of the “Babylonian Priesthood” and Rome the successor of Babylon (p. 151-152).”

View of Scripture: Scriptures teach without error the truth needed for salvation, but must be interpreted within the traditions of the church. (Col.2:8-9) They include the Apocrypha in their bible.

View on Jesus: The eternal Son, born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross, was buried and rose again the 3^rd day, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to judge us all. They view Jesus as Mary’s only child. (Matt.13:55-56) Not found in church writings before 325AD. (Reinforcing the Babylonian trinity)

View on Salvation: Adherence to Roman Catholic Doctrine, submission to the pope and the church, which have authority to alter biblical doctrine. (Deut.12:32) Athanasius Creed=trinity.

View on Death: The souls of the faithful go to heaven either immediately or, if imperfectly purified in this life, after purgatory (Heb.10:10-14). The souls of the wicked at death go immediately to everlasting hell fire. (no white throne judgment)

View on the Church: The Mystical Body of Christ, established by Christ with the bishop of Rome (the pope), who may at times pronounce dogma (doctrine required of all members) infallibly, as its earthly head. Christians not in communion with the Catholic Church are called “separated brethren”.

Sacraments: 7-1. Reconciliation (also known as the Sacrament of Penance, or Penance and Reconciliation) has three elements: conversion, confession and celebration; 2. Baptism- usually as an infant, in trinity formula only; 3. Eucharist- communion with transubstantiation. 4. Confirmation-a sacrament of initiation; 5. Marriage; 6. Holy Order - or ordination; 7. Anointing of the Sick- formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness.

Other Beliefs: Celibate priesthood (1 Tim.4:1-3, Gen.2:18a), rosary bead prayers (not original to RCC),

Dogma of the Immaculate Conception, of Pope Pius IX, Dec.8, 1854: Let all the children of the Catholic Church, who are so very dear to us, hear these words of ours. With a still more ardent zeal for piety, religion, and love, let them continue to venerate, invoke and pray to the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, conceived without original sin. Let them fly with utter confidence to the most sweet Mother of mercy and grace in all dangers, difficulties, needs, doubts and fears. Under her guidance, under her patronage, under her kindness and protection, nothing is to be feared; nothing is hopeless. Because, while bearing toward us a truly motherly affection and having in her care the work of our salvation, she is solicitous about the whole human race. And since She has been appointed by God to be the Queen of heaven and earth, and is exalted above all the choirs of angels and saints, and even stands at the right hand of her only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, she presents our petitions in a most efficacious manner. What she asks, she obtains. Her pleas can never be unheard.—Utter blasphemy!

The Assumption of Mary- In 1950, in the Apostolic Constitution, Pope Pius XII proclaimed the Assumption of Mary a dogma of the Catholic Church in these words: "The Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heaven."

Rev.17: 6. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Alexander Campbell, well known religions leader of the nineteenth century, stated in debate with John B. Purcell, Bishop of Cincinnati, in 1837 that the records of historians and martyrologists show that it may be reasonable to estimate that from fifty to sixty-eight millions of human beings died, suffered torture, lost their possessions, or were otherwise devoured by the Roman Catholic Church during the awful years of the Inquisition. Bishop Purcell made little effort to refute these figures. (Citing A Debate on the Roman Catholic Religion, Christian Publishing Co., 1837, p. 327.)

Homosexuality and the Church

Political correctness is admittedly out of control in our country. I don't think anyone who finds themselves here would argue against that. Unfortunately, it has not only entered in to the "Church", but has conquered large portions of it. Political correctness is worldly...carnal...fleshly, and not Godly.

An abomination is something that is hateful to God. Actually, in looking at the definition in almost any resource, you see that it is "disgusting, loathsome." God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His nature is eternal. His attitudes are eternal. Anything contrary to His nature will always be contrary to His nature.

An old testament abomination will always be an abomination to God, because He can't change. He doesn't need to. We need to change, or repent, to come in to alignment with God's outlook. He gives the gift of the Holy Ghost to the repentant.

Acts 2: 38. Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39. "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.''
40. And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation.''

Lets look at some abominations to see if we can agree that these are still loathsome and disgusting and should be considered contrary to the nature of God... and the church.

Deut. 18: 9. When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Offering our children as burnt sacrifices to a pagan god...yeah that's obviously abominable. Using spiritualists/tarot/fortune tellers, etc. a lot of "Christians" have been suckered into thinking these are OK, but they are generally understood by mature Christians as abominable. The "supernatural" obsession of TV, movies, and books without God as the focus, is satanic and deceiving many into deeper darkness. People need to wake up!

Prov. 6: 16. These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Can at least the church agree that these things are detestable?
Then look at this:

Levi. 18: 21. And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
22. Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
23. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

Homosexuality and bestiality are both becoming protected "alternative lifestyles" by our government! So will pedophilia and necrophilia if this government isn't stopped in it's downward moral spiral. Also please note that there is a reason Christians claim that homosexuality is on the same level with bestiality. They get that from the Word of God.

How has this happened? How is it that such a small percentage of the population can control our government so completely? Homosexuals claim to be 10% of the population, but realistically they are only numbered at about 2-3 %. 4% self identified themselves as homosexual on exit polling during the 2008 Presidential election, according to wikipedia. If you consider that many straights didn't vote, and homosexuals were more politically motivated, the numbers can be questioned. Even if they are completely accurate, 4% of the population should NOT be dictating policy to 96%!

What is the real political force behind this? What small percentage of highly placed political people are reputedly aligned with homosexuality? The Roman Catholic Church. Wait, don't freak out yet. Roman Catholic Fr. Cozzen has written a book, praised by many Roman clerics as being one of the most important books to come out in years regarding to condition of the priesthood, called "The Changing Face of the Priesthood”. In this book he estimates the percentage of homosexual priests may be as high as 60%. Jesuits have their fair share of this percentage. Do your own Google search and see for yourself. I'm not just making this stuff up because I have an axe to grind with Roman Catholicism. I hate the false religion for all kinds of reasons. This is just one of them.

Seminary applicants have dropped drastically in recent years; older priests have dropped out to marry, so the percentage rises. The priesthood is being seen as a bastion of homosexuality, perversion all over the world. The millions of dollars paid out to victims of the priesthoods preying on young boys has become fodder for comedians. The practice of shuffling perverted priests and hiding them from scrutiny is too well known to deny. It was never a glamorous job, but the truly dedicated are being marginalized out by the mother organization.

According to the Associated Press Jan. 2000, several hundreds of priests have died of AIDS.
This tragedy was caused by the Roman Catholic Canon Law that forbids priests to marry.

1Tim.4:1. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

This devilish perversion, of homosexuality invading "Christianity" has grown beyond the RCC and has now invaded most of "Christendom". Queer folk want it all. They want to stay queer, but be regarded as normal. 4% falls far short from being in the normal range in anything. As a Christian, you either follow God's will,or you follow your own will. Following your own will drops you from following God's will. You can't have the world, and have God, too.

1 John 2: 15. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16. For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world.

Methodists still holding out, BUT…acknowledge they have retained an openly lesbian minister without censure.

So, is the New Testament silent on the subject as many claim? "Jesus never condemned homosexuality" they say. Jesus was Jehovah of the Old Testament. If Jehovah said it ...Jesus said it. See my posts on the godhead. The apostles continued the message as close as any could without error.

New Testament:

Rom. 1: 16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

31. Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Christians need not be arrogant and/or self-righteous in this matter. The next chapter slams the self-righteous pretty well. But, we need to recognize that sin is sin, God's word reveals homosexuality is sin, and unrepented sin isn't covered by grace!

Read God's word regarding the leaders of Sodom and their attempt at treading on both sides of the fence:

Isaiah 1: 10. Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
11. To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13. Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
15. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

If you find yourself in a church that has lapsed, and you still believe the word of God is to be loved and obeyed, you should probably leave to find a church that still teach all the full council of God. I would recommend an Apostolic Pentecostal assembly, but that's just me.
