Now that thanksgiving is over... it's not too early to play Christmas music, and this is by far the my favorite version of this Christmas classic.
Rev.1: 8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.---Jesus is the Alpha and Omega- the Almighty! Daniel 11:33. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.

Proclamation of Thanksgiving
Washington, D.C.
October 3, 1863
October 3, 1863
This is the proclamation which set
the precedent for America's national day of Thanksgiving. During his
administration, President Lincoln issued many orders similar to this. For
example, on November 28, 1861, he ordered government departments closed for a
local day of thanksgiving.
Sarah Josepha Hale, a 74-year-old
magazine editor, wrote a letter to Lincoln on September 28, 1863, urging him to
have the "day of our annual Thanksgiving made a National and fixed Union
Festival." She explained, "You may have observed that, for some years
past, there has been an increasing interest felt in our land to have the
Thanksgiving held on the same day, in all the States; it now needs National
recognition and authoritive fixation, only, to become permanently, an American
custom and institution."
Prior to this, each state scheduled
its own Thanksgiving holiday at different times, mainly in New England and
other Northern states. President Lincoln responded to Mrs. Hale's request
immediately, unlike several of his predecessors, who ignored her petitions
altogether. In her letter to Lincoln she mentioned that she had been advocating
a national thanksgiving date for 15 years as the editor of Godey's Lady's
Book. George Washington was the first president to proclaim a day of
thanksgiving, issuing his request on October 3, 1789, exactly 74 years before
Lincoln's.
The document below sets apart the
last Thursday of November "as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise."
According to an April 1, 1864, letter from John Nicolay, one of President
Lincoln's secretaries, this document was written by Secretary of State William
Seward, and the original was in his handwriting. On October 3, 1863, fellow
Cabinet member Gideon Welles recorded in his diary how he complimented Seward
on his work. A year later the manuscript was sold to benefit Union troops.
By the President of the United
States of America.
A Proclamation.
The year that is drawing towards its
close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful
skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to
forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so
extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the
heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of
Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity,
which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their
aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been
maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed
everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has
been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.
Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful
industry to the national defence, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or
the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines,
as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more
abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding
the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and
the country, rejoicing in the consiousness of augmented strength and vigor, is
permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No
human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great
things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing
with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has
seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and
gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American
People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United
States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign
lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of
Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.
And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to
Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble
penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender
care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the
lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently
implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation
and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the
full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.
In testimony whereof, I have
hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the City of Washington, this
Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-three, and of the Independence of the Unites States the Eighty-eighth.

Millennials, rise up! College is a scam — you have nothing to lose but student debt
I've seen this happening in the health care profession, specifically nursing, but industry wide I see it too. More credentials required for doing what is already being done, and college NOT preparing you for higher technological training. That will come with on the job training anyway, so why require higher degrees? It's making someone money, but not always the student/graduate.

Spirit Channeling
I know Christians who have fallen for "Spiritualists" and spirit guide mumbo-jumbo, with seers giving card readings, charting their stars, etc. This is demonic, as most well versed Christians understand.
Isa 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
The New Age movement has made deep inroads into the church, and very many Christians are unaware that the newer translations were made under the direction of Mssrs Wescott & Hort, both members of the Hell Fire club, and both admitted spirit channelers. The translation texts they championed were not the same as the King James Version. The Dead Sea scrolls greatly support the KJV bible. The work of Gail Riplinger exposes this fact with absolute clarity. Go here.
About Gail RiplingerG. A. Riplinger has a B.A., M.A., and M.F.A. degrees and has done additional postgraduate study at Harvard and Cornell Universities. As a university professor, she taught 17 different courses, authored six college textbooks, and was selected for the Honor Society's teaching award and membership in a national Education Honorary.
As one of 50 educators worldwide included in an international "Who's Who", she was invited by the President's Citizen's Ambassador Program to be a representative to Russia.
Her opinion carries weight!

20 Obama Quotes About Islam Contrasted With 20 Obama Quotes About Christianity
You
are about to read some of the most shocking quotes that Barack Obama has ever
uttered in public. A few of these have been widely circulated, but most of them
are very obscure.
Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions.
In public speeches he has repeatedly cast doubt on the Bible, he has repeatedly stated that he does not believe that Jesus is necessary for salvation, and he has consistently said that he believes that all “people of faith” believe in the same God.
At the same time, Obama has always referred to Muhammed as “the Prophet”, he has always expressed great love and respect for Islam, and he has even removed all references to Islam from terror training materials used by federal government agencies.
So what in the world does “the leader of the free world” actually believe? Read the quotes below and decide for yourself…
20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Islam
#1 “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”
#2 “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”
#3 “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”
#4 “As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.”
#5 “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”
#6 “Islam has always been part of America”
#7 “we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities”
#8 “These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”
#9 “America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”
#10 “I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam.”
#11 “Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.”
#12 “So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed”
#13 “In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education.”
#14 “throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”
#15 “Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality”
#16 “The Holy Koran tells us, ‘O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.’”
#17 “I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month.”
#18 “We’ve seen those results in generations of Muslim immigrants – farmers and factory workers, helping to lay the railroads and build our cities, the Muslim innovators who helped build some of our highest skyscrapers and who helped unlock the secrets of our universe.”
#19 “That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
#20 “I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”
20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Christianity
#1 “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”
#2 “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
#3 “Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith?”
#4 “Even those who claim the Bible’s inerrancy make distinctions between Scriptural edicts, sensing that some passages – the Ten Commandments, say, or a belief in Christ’s divinity – are central to Christian faith, while others are more culturally specific and may be modified to accommodate modern life.”
#5 “The American people intuitively understand this, which is why the majority of Catholics practice birth control and some of those opposed to gay marriage nevertheless are opposed to a Constitutional amendment to ban it. Religious leadership need not accept such wisdom in counseling their flocks, but they should recognize this wisdom in their politics.”
#6 From Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope: “I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights on such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simply because the people they love are of the same sex—nor am I willing to accept a reading of the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.”
#7 Obama’s response when asked what his definition of sin is: “Being out of alignment with my values.”
#8 “If all it took was someone proclaiming I believe Jesus Christ and that he died for my sins, and that was all there was to it, people wouldn’t have to keep coming to church, would they.”
#9 “This is something that I’m sure I’d have serious debates with my fellow Christians about. I think that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and prostelytize. There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.”
#10 “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”
#11 “I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.”
#12 “I’ve said this before, and I know this raises questions in the minds of some evangelicals. I do not believe that my mother, who never formally embraced Christianity as far as I know … I do not believe she went to hell.”
#13 “Those opposed to abortion cannot simply invoke God’s will–they have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths.”
#14 On his support for civil unions for gay couples: “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount.”
#15 “You got into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them.
And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
#16 “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology”
#17 “On Easter or Christmas Day, my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites.”
#18 “we have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own”
#19 “All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra — (applause) — as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer. (Applause.)”
#20 “I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.”
Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions.

Is Jesus Really Your Lord?
Who sits on the throne of your heart-Jesus or you? Whoever sits on that throne is lord of your life.
Jesus calls His Disciples:
Simon, Andrew, James and John-
Matt. 4: 18. And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee,
saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net
into the sea: for they were fishers.
19. And he saith unto them, Follow
me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20. And they straightway
left their nets, and followed him.
21. And going on from
thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his
brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he
called them.
22. And they
immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
Mark 1: 16. Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw
Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
17. And Jesus said unto
them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
18. And straightway
they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19. And when he had gone a
little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother,
who also were in the ship mending their nets.
20. And straightway he
called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired
servants, and went after him.
Luke 5: 1. And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed
upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret ,
2. And saw two ships
standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing
their nets.
3. And he entered into one
of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a
little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4. Now when he had left
speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets
for a draught.
5. And Simon answering said
unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing:
nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6. And when they had this
done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7. And they beckoned unto
their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help
them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8. When Simon Peter saw it,
he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O
Lord.
9. For he was astonished,
and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10. And so was also James,
and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said
unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11. And when they had
brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
Jesus didn't ask to
join them, but that they join HIM
Levi-
Matt.9: 9. And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a
man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow
me. And he arose, And followed him.
Mark 2: 14. And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of
Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And
he arose and followed him.
Luke 5: 27. And after these things he went forth, and saw a
publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow
me.
28. And he left all,
rose up, and followed him.
The Ordaining of the Twelve-
Mark 3: 13. And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth
unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
14. And he ordained twelve, that
they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15. And to have power to
heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
16. And Simon he surnamed
Peter;
17. And James the son of Zebedee, and John the
brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of
thunder:
18. And Andrew, and Philip,
and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and
Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
19. And Judas Iscariot,
which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
See a pattern here?
Jesus sets the agenda, not the disciples.
Today's concept of salvation:
People teach today, just accept Jesus as your personal savior.
People think that they should invite Jesus to walk along side of them all the
days of their life. They think Jesus is wanting to tag along with them, to be
there for them, to be a blessing to them and answer their prayers. They teach
that Jesus is as merciful as a puppy, and that if you push Him away He will
instantly forgive, and lick your face like a puppy. Jesus is not like that at
all.
The issue is not will
you accept Jesus, but will Jesus
accept you? Is your sacrifice acceptable?
When Jesus called His
disciples, He didn't wait to be invited along, and He didn't invite them...He commanded
them to follow after Him. He didn't command them to allow Him to follow them.
They stopped what THEY were doing and began to do what HE was doing. HE called
the shots.
Luke 9: 57. And it came to pass, that, as they went in the
way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou
goest.
58. And Jesus said unto him,
Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not
where to lay his head. (count the cost, words are
cheap- faith without works is dead.)
59. And he said unto
another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my
father. (...it can't be ME FIRST when we deal with
Jesus...)
60. Jesus said unto him, Let
the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God .
61. And another also said, Lord,
I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at
home at my house. (...but let ME FIRST...)
62. And Jesus said unto him,
No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God .
We don't have forever to learn REPENTANCE/death to self will.
Luke 13: 6. He spake also this parable; a certain man
had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon,
and found none.
7. Then said he unto the
dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this
fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8. And he answering said
unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and
dung it:
9. And if it bear fruit,
well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Luke 19: 27. But those mine enemies, which would not
that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
Jesus says that those who would not have Him to reign OVER them are His
enemies!
Matt.7: 13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide
is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there
be which go in thereat:
14. Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it.
21. Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have
cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew
you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matt.10: 24. The disciple is not above his master,
nor the servant above his lord.
25. It is enough for the
disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have
called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of
his household?
32. Whosoever therefore
shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is
in heaven.
33. But whosoever shall deny
me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
34. Think not that I am come
to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35. For I am come to set a
man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and
the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36. And a man's foes shall
be they of his own household.
37. He that loveth father
or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter
more than me is not worthy of me.
38. And he that taketh
not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39. He that findeth his
life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Those that teach to "accept Jesus" without teaching we must
deny our own life to claim His do not help the hearer. Teaching anything less
than total surrender to the will of God is to teach a lie.
What is His will for us?
Acts 1: 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem , and in all Judaea, and in Samaria , and unto the uttermost part of the
earth.
2:42. And they continued
stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread,
and in prayers.
Your first priority should
be to become the best witness you can for your LORD. Learn the Word of God.
Apply yourself to seeking His ways, His desire for you. Teach others about
Jesus. YOU have been ordained to serve Christ. You are no longer your
own, you have been bought with a price (1 Cor.6:20). You do not serve the
church, or a pastor or teacher, but Jesus. The ministry is a gift to you from
Jesus to help you learn how to better serve HIM. By submitting to the ministry
you are submitting to Jesus, as long as the ministry is pointing you to Him in
truth.
Some want their offerings
and tithes to buy their place in the body, but the Bible teaches us that we are
all baptized into one body by the same Spirit. We become joint heirs with
Christ by obeying the gospel...by following the New Testament plan of
salvation, Acts 2:38. The first step to the gospel is nothing less than total
surrender of our will to the Lordship of Jesus. Only then are we truly
repented, covered by the blood and acceptable to be baptized in water in the
name of Jesus. If we find ourselves to become alive to our own will again, we
must again crucify our own flesh, take up His cross, and follow Him. Paul said
he had to die daily! So must we.
Jesus ordained the twelve
that they should be with HIM, not that He should be with them.
We can't set our own agenda
and be submitted to Him, asking Him to join us in OUR plan, we must let Him set
our agenda and ask Him to let us take part in HIS work.
Interesting side note:
Mark 3: 13. And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth
unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
14. And he ordained twelve, that
they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15. And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to
cast out devils:
POWER comes from relinquishing
our power completely. Matt.10:39 teaches us that if we seek to retain authority
over our own lives, we lose life. Relinquishing authority over our selves
brings life.
Luke 19:27 shows us that
refusing His total authority over us actually makes us his enemy.
Who is lord of your heart?
Do you deny Jesus access and authority to ALL YOR LIFE? Is there anything you
are holding back in reserve? Is there a portion of you that you still want to
control? That is what the LORD demands from you. Just as Abraham was commanded
to sacrifice his son, the most precious thing in his life, Jesus wants to know
that you are willing to sacrifice the most precious things in your life to Him.
Romans 12
1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies
of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable service.
2. And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3. For I say, through the
grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself
more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath
dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Police State America
This is NOT the America I (thought I) grew up in. I now think I can understand the attitude blacks must feel they have endured for a long time, that whites just didn't know about. If this is the America the minorities have endured, no wonder folks feel disenfranchised! Amazing to me that this is becoming even more pronounced under Obama!

Islamizing The Public Schools
The Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is pressuring public schools in this country
to make special accommodations for Muslim students and to deny comparable
accommodations for students of other faiths.
By Joseph Klein
For example, CAIR’s instructional
material for teachers entitled “An Educator’s Guide to Islamic Religious
Practices” advises schools to permit Muslim students who wish to attend Friday
congregational worship (known as Jum’ah) to “request a temporary release from
school.”
In Michigan, CAIR went beyond
dispensing general advice from its guidebook. In April, 2013, it pushed for
public schools in Dearborn, Michigan to accommodate Muslim students who wish to
comfortably pray on school grounds and to allow Muslim students to leave early
on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers.
The school superintendant caved, and
CAIR got its wish.
Just a few months earlier, the same
CAIR Michigan branch had complained that a Detroit area elementary school was
being too accommodating to Christians when it allowed its teachers to
distribute permission slips for parents to sign so that their children
could be released to attend off-site Bible studies classes.
In his letter to the school
district, CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid wrote in part:
School staff and teachers are not to
serve as advocates for one particular religion or congregation within a
religion by passing out slips inviting parents to give permission for their
children to attend religious instruction. . . According to the United States
Supreme Court, the First Amendment clearly requires that public school students
and their parents are never given the impression that their school/school
district prefers a specific religion over others or sanctions religion in
general.
CAIR’s sanctimonious, hypocritical
letter worked. It intimidated the school district into offering an
apology.
In California, the Islamists have
already won in their efforts to get special treatment for Islam in the public
schools.
For example, several years ago
seventh-graders at a San Francisco-area school were required to “become
Muslims” for two full weeks as part of California’s world history curriculum.
This included professing as “true” the Muslim belief that “The Holy Quran is
God’s word,” reciting the Muslim profession of faith — “Allah is the only true
God and Muhammad is his messenger” —and chanting “Praise be to Allah.”
Just imagine what would happen if a public school told Muslim students to
become Jews for two weeks and recite the traditional Jewish prayer: “Hear, O
Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

WND EXCLUSIVE-VA SUED FOR HARASSING CHRISTIAN CHAPLAINS
Military pastors ordered to stop quoting
Bible, leave Jesus at home
Published: 12 hours ago
Drew Zahn is a WND news
editor who cut his journalist teeth as a member of the award-winning staff of
Leadership, Christianity Today's professional journal for church leaders. A
former pastor, he is the editor of seven books, including Movie-Based
Illustrations for Preaching & Teaching, which sparked his
ongoing love affair with film and his weekly WND column, "Popcorn and a
(world)view."
Two military chaplains are suing Eric
Shinseki, secretary of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, or VA, for
allegedly being harassed and drummed out of a training and placement program
because of their Christian faith.
Chaplains Major Steven Firtko, U.S. Army
(Retired) and Lieutenant Commander Dan Klender, U.S. Navy, claim they were
mocked, scolded and threatened for their faith while enrolled in the San Diego
VA-DOD Clinical Pastoral Education Center program, which trains and distributes
chaplains to military and VA medical centers in the San Diego area.
According to
their lawsuit, Firtko and Klender allege the Center’s supervisor,
Ms. Nancy Dietsch, a VA employee, derided them in classrooms and even had one
of them dismissed for failing to renounce his Christian beliefs.
For example, on Sept. 24, 2012, the lawsuit
claims, during a classroom discussion, Dietsch asked Firtko what he “believed
faith was.”
Firtko responded by quoting Hebrews 11:1 –
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Dietsch told Firtko, on the first of several
such instances according to the lawsuit, that he was not to quote the Bible in
the chaplaincy program classroom.
On another incident in October, Dietsch
allegedly shouted at Firtko for quoting Scripture again, banging her fist on
the table and stating “it made her feel like she had been pounded over her head
with a sledge hammer.”
The lawsuit also claims Dietsch told her
students that the VA in general and she in particular do not allow chaplains to
pray “in Jesus’ name” in public ceremonies.
Dietsch is also accused of allowing other
students to deride Firtko and Klender, mocking them in front of the class and
telling Firtko if he held to his beliefs on such things as evolution, salvation
and homosexuality, he “did not belong in this program.” Eventually, the lawsuit
states, she threatened to dismiss Firtko for refusing to recant his Christian
doctrine and ordered he serve a six-week probation.
The lawsuit claims Chaplain Klender’s superior
even encouraged him to challenge Dietsch for her “bias against evangelicals.”
Klender later left the program voluntarily,
citing Dietsch’s alleged abuse.
Firtko, however, according to the lawsuit, was
ejected from the program through a letter, signed by Dietsch, which stated his
probation period was not “yielding the results” desired.
In July, Firtko, Klender and their sponsoring
organization, the Conservative Baptist Association of America, filed formal
complaint against Dietsch and the VA.
Now the lawsuit, filed
with the help of Military-Veterans
Advocacy, explains that Firtko and Klender have exhausted all
administrative options and that the harassment the chaplains endured violates
the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the Administrative Procedures
Act and the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
“No American choosing to serve in the armed
forces should be openly ridiculed for his Christian faith, and that is most
obviously true for chaplains participating in a chaplain training program,”
said Commander J.B. Wells, U. S. Navy (Ret.), executive director of
Military-Veterans Advocacy. “Not only was the treatment these men received
inappropriate, it was also a violation of federal law and the religious freedom
guarantees of the First Amendment.”
The lawsuit, Conservative Baptist Association
of America v. Shinseki, has been filed in the U.S. District Court for the
District of Columbia.

As America/Obama Has Done to Israel
7
November 6, 2013
Obadiah 1:15
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done (To Israel), it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
As America/Obama Has Done to Israel
I posted this so you can see the link between Obama pressuring Israel to divide the land and the disintegration of his presidency. He is on a collision course with the Lord over Israel and Jerusalem.
Obama shows no signs of backing down over dividing Israel; therefore, severe judgment is now coming at him from all angles. One scandal may erupt and destroy him as president.
Obama is about feel the wrath of the Holy God of Israel.
‘America will intervene with own peace plan by January if talks fail’ 11/04/13 It appears that US pressure is building to divide Israel starting early in 2014. As Obama is doing this, his presidency is in trouble. God removed George Bush Sr. as president for the same thing. Obama is in trouble with the Lord God of Israel.
“After meeting with senior Palestinian and American officials, Meretz Chairwoman MK Zehava Gal-On released a statement Monday saying that the Americans are “moving from a coordination phase between the two sides to an intervention phase.”The new plan, expected to be presented in January 2014, will follow the “Clinton parameters,” according to Gal-On and her policy advisor Ilan Baruch. It will address all the core issues, and will be “based on the ’67 lines with agreed land swaps.”Also revealed in Gal-On’s meetings with senior officials: U.S. President Barack Obama will continue to pressure Ramallah and Jerusalem to reach a breakthrough in negotiations by the second quarter of 2014.”
Obama’s Approval rate at 39 percent 11/05/13 I believe that God timed this, that as Obama tried to divide Israel, his presidency is melting down! God might remove him from office.
With Israelis and Palestinians bickering, Kerry tries to revive flagging peace efforts 11/05/13 If Obama pressures Israel, the judgment from the Lord could be awesome on both him and America.
“President Abbas is going to tell Mr. Kerry tomorrow that the U.S. either intervenes directly in the peace talks or lets them hit a dead end,” said Nimr Hamad, an adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.”The question now: Is the U.S. interested in rescuing its initiative? Or is it leaving the fate of this initiative in the hands of Israel? We are going to ask the U.S. to propose a solution and see who is going to say yes and who is going to say no,” he added.”
Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Fukushima #4 Fuel Removal a Catastrophic Threat to N. America
What You Need To Know |
Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has announced they will soon begin attempting removal of more than 1200 spent nuclear fuel assemblies from a cooling pool more than 100 feet above ground at the severely damaged Fukushima #4 reactor. As previously reported by AlertsUSA Threat Journal on multiple occasions, scientists worldwide have warned for well over two years of the global dangers and implications of this process.
In the case of Fukushima Unit #4, the racks holding the fuel assemblies were damaged and deformed during the earthquake and explosion in March of 2011. The building is shattered, structurally unsound and highly vulnerable. In addition, spent nuclear fuel cannot be simply lifted into the air by a crane. It must be lifted and transferred at all times in water and heavily shielded structures.
During the removal process, if the fuel assemblies touch, are dropped or break open there is potential for uncontrolled nuclear reactions and explosions to occur.

Top generals: Obama is 'purging the military'
Describe president's actions as 'emasculating,' ranks now lack 'will to win'
F. Michael Maloof, staff writer for WND and G2Bulletin, is a former senior security policy analyst in the office of the secretary of defense.
“There is no doubt he (Obama) is intent on emasculating the military and will fire anyone who disagrees with him” over such issues as “homosexuals, women in foxholes, the Obama sequester,” Brady told WND.
“They are purging everyone, and if you want to keep your job, just keep your mouth shut,” one source told WND.
Not only are military service members being demoralized and the ranks’ overall readiness being reduced by the Obama administration’s purge of key leaders, colonels – those lined up in rank to replace outgoing generals – are quietly taking their careers in other directions.
Retired Army Lt. Gen. William G. “Jerry” Boykin, who was with Delta Force and later Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence under President George W. Bush, says it is worrying that four-star generals are being retired at the rate that has occurred under Obama.
“Over the past three years, it is unprecedented for the number of four-star generals to be relieved of duty, and not necessarily relieved for cause,” Boykin said.
“I believe there is a purging of the military,” he said. “The problem is worse than we have ever seen.”
Boykin points out that the military adheres to the constitutional requirement of a civilian leadership over the military. As a consequence, officers are not allowed to criticize their civilian leadership, as occurred when Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal was relieved in 2010 of his command of the International Security Assistance Force and commander of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan.
He was relieved due to what has been described as unflattering remarks made about Vice President Joe Biden and other administration officials in a Rolling Stone magazine article. He was recalled to Washington where Obama accepted his resignation as commander in Afghanistan.
Boykin says that because of the fundamental civilian leadership over the military, McCrystal was “appropriately forced to retire.”
Read the words of the Founders, in “America’s God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations.”
Some officers were involved in adulterous affairs and those situations, Boykin said, also were grounds for dismissal.
Boykin specifically said that because of the civilian-military relationship, he did not see any prospect for a “coup” coming from the military ranks.
“People I’ve spoken to would like to see the military ‘fulfill their constitutional duty and take out the president,’” Boykin said. “Our Constitution puts a civilian in charge of the military and as a result a coup would not be constitutional. You’re not going to see a coup in the military.”
Nevertheless, Boykin said the future of the military is becoming more and more of concern, since colonels who would be generals also are being relieved of duty, if they show that they’re not going to support Obama’s agenda, which critics have described as socialist.
“I talk to a lot of folks who don’t support where Obama is taking the military, but in the military they can’t say anything,” Boykin said.
As a consequence, he said, the lower grades therefore have decided to leave, having been given the signal that there is no future in the military for them.
Boykin referred to recent reports that Obama has purged some 197 officers in the past five years.
These reports suggest these officers were suspected of disloyalty or disagreed with the Obama administration on policy or force-structure issues. As Boykin pointed out, a number of them have been relieved of duty for no given reason.
“Morale is at an unprecedented low,” Boykin said, part of which is due to sequestration.
Sequestration has seriously cut back operational readiness for the military to the point where Boykin said that often they have no ammunition and are unable to conduct training because of the planned cuts.
“These officers want to train for war but are not be allowed to” because of the preoccupation not only with sequestration, but what Boykin said were other concerns surfacing in the military under Obama as commander-in-chief.
He referred specifically to the recent repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” which now allows openly homosexual personnel in the military. In addition, he said the integration of women into the infantry “will reduce readiness of units.” He also was critical of the rules of engagement which he says favor “political correctness over our ability to fight to win.”
“The last time we won an all-out war was in 1944,” Boykin said. “Now, we don’t have the will to win.”
Brady, who was a legendary “Dust Off” air ambulance pilot in Vietnam and detailed his experiences in his book, “Dead Men Flying: Victory in Viet Nam,” said, “The problem is military people will seldom, while on duty, go on the record over such issues, and many will not ever, no matter how true.
“I hear from many off the record who are upset with the current military leadership and some are leaving and have left in the past,” he said.
Brady referred to additional problems in today’s military including “girly-men leadership [and] medals for not shooting and operating a computer. This president will never fight if there is any reason to avoid it and with a helpless military he can just point to our weakness and shrug his shoulders.”
Brady made similar references in a recent article he wrote for WND in which he said “just when you thought the leadership of this government could not get any worse, it does. Never in history has an administration spawned another scandal to cover the current one.”
The reference was to the recent firing of a number of generals to mask “Obama’s serial scandals, all prefaced by lies – Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA, IRS” among others.
WND reported that three of the nine firings by Obama this year alone were linked to the controversy surrounding the Sep. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the CIA special mission in Benghazi, Libya.
In one case, U.S. Army Gen. Carter Ham, who commanded U.S. African Command when the consulate was attacked and four Americans were killed, was highly critical of the decision by the State Department not to send in reinforcements.
Obama has insisted there were no reinforcements available that night.
But Ham contends reinforcements could have been sent in time, and he said he never was given a stand-down order. However, others contend that he was given the order but defied it. He ultimately was relieved of his command and retired.
Now, new information in the Washington Times reveals there were Delta Force personnel in Tripoli at the time of the attack and two members volunteered to be dispatched to Benghazi to assist in protecting the Benghazi compound, contrary to stand-down orders from the State Department.
Another flag officer involved in the Benghazi matter – which remains under congressional investigation – was Rear Adm. Charles Gaouette. He commanded the Carrier Strike Group.
He contends aircraft could have been sent to Libya in time to help the Americans under fire. He later was removed from his post for alleged profanity and making “racially insensitive comments.”
Army Major Gen. Ralph Baker was the commander of the Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti, Africa. Baker contended that attack helicopters could have reached the consulate in time on the night of the attack.
“To understand the insufferable assaults on our military and veterans, who should be exempt from political squabbles but are often at the forefront of Obama threats, we need to understand the psyche of the elite in this country led by Obama,” Brady said.
“It is no accident that the president used the Obama sequester and shutdown to punish the military family,” he said. “It is part of his DNA. In fact it is in the psyche of the entire liberal/progressive establishment – the elite. President Clinton outed himself and this ilk when he declared his loathing of the military. Who could believe progressives/liberals care about veterans and military?”
Brady said that some people who fear for the future of the United States believe it needs to be “re-moralized.”
“We cannot survive without increasing patriotism, a youth schooled in the Constitution,” Brady said. “If the uncommon common American is to prevail against the elite, we need to return to the truths of our Constitution.
“We need to realize that this recent assault on the military and veterans is no accident,” Brady added. “It is purposeful. The elite loathe our military, the one sure guarantor of our freedom. These elite – not a shutdown or default – and their assault on the Constitution and our military are the real threat to our future.”
Army Major Gen. Paul E. Vallely similarly has been very vocal in his opposition to the Obama administration.
Vallely said the White House won’t investigate its own officials but finds it easy to fire military commanders “who have given their lives for their country.”
“Obama will not purge a civilian or political appointee because they have bought into Obama’s ideology,” Vallely said. “The White House protects their own. That’s why they stalled on the investigation into Fast and Furious, Benghazi and Obamacare. He’s intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.”
Vallely served in the Vietnam War and retired in 1993 as deputy Commanding General, Pacific Command. Today, he is chairman of the Military Committee for the Center for Security Policy and is co-author of the book “Endgame: The Blueprint for Victory in the War on Terror.”
Duty personnel seem to back up this concern, suggesting that the firings are meant to send a message to “young officers down through the ranks” not to criticize the president or White House politics.
