What Do They Believe-Muslims

Beginning: Islam is the religion of the Muslims. “Islam” means “submission”. “Muslim” means “people who submit”. It shares its beginnings with Judaism and Christianity through the ancestor Abraham. Islam appeared about 6 centuries after the death of Jesus as a correction to those other two dominant religions. Mohammad, (born- Abu al-Qasim Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Hashimi al-Qurashi) was born AD 570. When 25 years old, after becoming dissatisfied with life of idol worship, withdrew to a cave, where he is supposed to have received “divine” revelation, by the angel Gabriel. These recorded words make up the Koran ( or Qur’an). Muslims believe Muhammad to be the last of more than 124,000 messengers.

He preached with very little success in his own Mecca for 13 years, then went to Medina, finding success. From Medina he led his believers to war against those in Mecca who wouldn’t hear him initially. By the time he died in AD 632, Muhammad controlled the Arabian Peninsula and had several thousand converts (at the edge of the sword). After his death, Islam’s leaders continued to press for forced conversions into Europe. Islam now dominates the Middle East, is prominent in Europe, and is growing in the West. Although it bills itself as a religion of peace, it became a powerful military and religious force, taking much land by conquest and forced conversion (a process shared by the Roman Catholic Church)

3 branches:

Sunni- (people of the tradition) the largest, more than 85% of all Muslims, often follow a secular government. More moderate in religious expression.
Four “Schools of Law”(Mahd’hab)- Hanafi, Maliki, Hanbali , Shafi’i

Shi’a- (party of Ali)- representing up to 10% of all Muslims, follow the leadership of imams whom they believe to be infallible (even though they don’t all teach exactly the same).
Three branches- majority (Twelvers) (Jafari) who believe in a succession of 12 infallible, divine, ordained imams, “Seveners” (Ismali) and “Fivers” (Zaidi)

Sufi- Sufism is known as "Islamic Mysticism," in which Muslims seek to find divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience of God. Mysticism is defined as the experience of mystical union or direct communion with ultimate reality, and the belief that direct knowledge of God, spiritual truth, or ultimate reality can be attained through subjective experience (as intuition or insight) Also known as dervishes. (A “whirling dervish” is one who dances in worship to Allah with spinning motion.)

View of Scripture: The Qu’ran, as above. Commentaries included in the Sunnah (tradition) used are the Hadith (narrative) and Sirah (journey). The Qu’ran affirms the biblical Torah, Psalms, and the Gospels, with the claim that the Jews and Christians corrupted the original texts.

View of God: He is self-existing, self-sufficient, and perfect. He is omnipotent & omniscient. He is also unique, incomparable, unknowable, and incomprehensible. He is worshiped as creator of everything and the giver of all revelation about himself. He has no begotten or birthed children.

He has 4 primary characteristics:
Rabb al alamin: creator, sustainer, nourisher.
Raman: most gracious- Allah is able to give people a pure nature that allows them to be free from sin.
Rahim: Ever merciful. He possesses the ability to bless the good efforts of people with good results.
Malik e Youm al-Din: Master of the Day of Requital. Allah alone is the dispenser of reward or punishment in the afterlife.

Islam teaches that Allah is the same God as worshiped by Jews and Christians, but is alone in the teaching that He is unknowable and demands submission to the religious laws of Islam.

View of Jesus: Called Isa, his Arabic name; born of a virgin, Mary, but as a miracle without a father. Isa performed miracles intended to affirm him as Allah’s prophet. They teach Isa (Jesus) could speak as a newborn. They deny Jesus was crucified on the cross, or that Jesus died for the sins of all people. After the end of his ministry, Jesus (Isa) returned to God fully alive, and not resurrected. Isa foretold the coming of Mohammad rather than the coming of the Holy Spirit. Isa will one day return and unite the world under the rule of Islam. Isa will rule for several decades and die peacefully in Medina, where he will be buried in a reserved grave next to Mohammad.

View on Salvation:
Sunni:
Five pillars (or Duties) of faith:
Shahdah= profession of faith: ( Allah is God and Mohammad is his prophet)
Salat= prayers offered 5 times a day at precisely prescribed times, in Arabic facing Mecca,
Zakat= Almsgiving- Annual charity. Each Muslim is responsible for an annual gift of 2.5% of personal wealth, paid in gold or silver directly to an appointed person.
Sawm= Annual fast during Ramadan (celebrating the inauguration of the revelation of the Qu’ran to Mohammad) abstaining from food, drink, and sexual relations from sunrise to sunset.
Hajj= the annual pilgrimage to Mecca if physically and financially able.

Shi’a: Ten central practices: Shahdah,Salat, Zakat, Sawm, Khums-1/5th tax! Hajj. Also:
Jihad (Struggle)usually translated as “holy war” but it may refer to the Muslim’s struggle against the devil, or his own temptations as well as against infidels. Amr’-bil-ma’ruf= enjoining to do good. Nahi-ani-munkar= exhortation to desist from evil (repent). Tawalla= loving the Ahl al-Bayt “People of the House,”) designation in Islam for the holy family of the Prophet Muhammad, particularly his daughter Fātimah, her husband Alī (who was also Muhammad’s cousin), and their descendants. Tabarra= Disassociation from the enemies of the Ahl al-Bayt,

View on Death: Heaven is called Jannah, hell is called Jahannam. Heaven is a multilevel, blissful paradise garden populated with houris, maidens designed by Allah to give righteous men sexual pleasures.  Hell is also a multilevel (7) destination of fire, torment, and separation from Allah, guarded by nineteen guards. The lowest level of hell has a tree called Zaqqum, bearing thorny fruit the damned are made to eat. Muslims of low faith will go to hell for a while, but will eventually go to heaven (Islamic purgatory) Non-Muslims go to hell for ever.

Other beliefs: It was Ishmael and not Isaac that Abraham was to offer as sacrifice-receiving the blessing.

 THE RELIGION OF PEACE?
Now can we stop defending Muslims? Islam is the religion. Muslim means, one who is submissive to Islam. A "good" Muslim, submissive to Islam, by their own scriptures, is by definition a terrorist & murderer.

Koran 2:191        “Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them’”
Koran 3:28           “Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.”
Koran 3:85           “Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.”
Koran 5:33           “Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam.”
Koran 8:12           “Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Koran.”
Koran 8:60           “Muslims must muster all weapons  to terrorize the infidels.”
Koran 8:65           “The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them.”
Koran 9:5             “When opportunity arises kill the infidels wherever you find them.”
Koran 9:30           “The Jews and Christians are perverts, fight them.”
Koran 9:123        “Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood.”
Koran 22:19        “Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water, melt their skin and bellies.”
Koran 47:4           “Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them.”
From “THE ISLAMIC ANTICHRIST” by Joel Richardson. Pg. 144

Mawlana Sayid Abul Ala Mawdudi was an Islamic scholar from the Indian subcontinent. His sermons (khutbat) and writings are world renowned, and he is viewed throughout the Islamic world as one of Islam’s greatest scholars. Here is what he had to say about Islam and global domination.

he world, and Muslim nations are not like normal nations. Muslim nations are very special because they have a command from Alla to rule the entire world and to be over every nation in the world.”

Mawdudi explains Islam’s goals and purpose:

“Islam is a revolutionary faith that comes to destroy any government made by man. Islam doesn’t look for a nation to be in a better condition than another nation. Islam doesn’t care about the land or who owns the land. The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power that gets in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy. In order to fulfill that goal, Islam can use every power available every way it can be used to bring worldwide revolution. This is Jihad.”

Age of Marriage for females:
The age of marriage in Islam for women varies with country. Traditionally, Islam has permitted marriage of girls below the age of 10, because Sharia considers practices of Muhammad, the Prophet, as a basis for Islamic law. According to Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the two authentic hadiths, the Prophet married Aisha, his third wife when she was 6, and consummated the marriage before she reached the age of 10.[148][149]
Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

The Fourth Horse “The Green Horse”

The translators of the King James Version of the Bible used the word “pale” for the fourth horse, which is better translated “green” from the original Greek word, “chloros.” Green is the universally identifiable color of Islam.
“And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, …and with death.” Revelation 6:8   (1/4 of the earth- their expansion is quickly coming to an end!)
The USA Today reports that more than 1.6 billion people are Muslim. So, Islam is the green horse of death seen in Revelation 6:8, patrolling one-fourth of the earth.

The Mark of Islam: Death

The green horse is marked by death. Islam is associated around the world with the nearly 3,000 deaths in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, and the 18,000+ Muslim bombings around the world since that time, according to thereligionofpeace.com. It is the culture of death. Yet, Islam claims to be the “religion of peace.”
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has repeatedly sworn Iran and Islam to the death and destruction of both Israel and the United States. He publicly pledges to “wipe Israel off the map.” Muslim leaders teach their followers that the most glorious path to paradise is martyrdom – death by killing others while performing the act of suicide. These are the times that bring out the best in some, and the worst in others.
