One of the biggest problems with the "church" today is that it traces it's roots back to it's mother Rome!
Look at the "family tree" of Protestantism. All her children are breakaways from Rome. When someone sites a "Church Father", they are referencing a Roman Catholic. The New Testament Church and it's doctrine pre-date Roman Catholicism by almost 200 years. Don't follow Luther, or Calvin, or Huss, or any other of the reformers. Follow Christ! Follow the word of God! Follow the apostles doctrine as originally taught by Peter and Paul and the rest of the originals! Mystery Babylon- mother of harlots! Don't join yourself to a harlot!
John 4: 24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 8: 47. He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
John 17: 17. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Romans 3: 3. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4. God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
