Apostolic Truth Tabernacle & Anderson Cooper

If you're looking for the power point presentation on " The Tabernacle in the Wilderness" go here!

Is Anderson Cooper Gay?  Is that why he is so fixated on crucifying the church for teaching homosexuality is a sin?  Watch this episode and wonder.

Removing the last hinge from Anderson's closet door

I took a break from my Anderson Cooper bashing, but I'm feeling renewed zeal.

So, if you're one of the few remaining people in the universe who believes and wants to continue believing that Cooper is a heterosexual, you might want to skip this.

Out magazine, now the Advocate's fluffier (if that's possible) sister publication, has a column by Josh Kilmer-Purcell in its March edition that dishes on Cooper:

"When I spent a couple of weeks observing ABC's 'World New Tonight' fpr am advertising campaign a decade ago, it was common knowledge in the newsroom even then that Anderson was gay (at the time he was a news correspondent for ABC). Anderson's sexual orientation became even more apparent when one evening he introduced me in a gay bar to the man he was currently dating — most likely as an excuse to stop my drunken propositioning, but still..."
Cooper refuses to say which team he plays for even though he sees no problem with asking other the same question. Washington Blade editor Kevin Naff explores the hypocrisy here. And here's an earlier Naff post on Wikipedia's Cooper closet.

I'm sure Cooper has developed some exquisitely fabulous rationalizations for letting all of us lesser gay mortals do the heavy lifting in our fight for equality.

But the truth is very simple: Anderson Cooper is a coward.

Is it petty of me to hope that what goes around comes around for the host of CNN's 360°?

Biblical Christianity says:

The problem isn't that the churches teaching homosexuality are wrong, or unscriptural, or even cherry-picking sins, as Anderson seems to be saying.   The problem is that the church is NOT cherry picking politically correct sins to AVOID preaching against.  The church teaches against adultery, theft, murder, etc.
The problem with homosexuals, is that they don't seem to like the idea that Christians are suppose to repent of EVERY sin.  Thieves must stop stealing.  Adulterers must stop being adulterers.  Murderers must stop murdering, and homosexuals must stop practicing homosexuality.  Gays don't mind if thieves are expected to stop stealing, or killers are expected to stop killing...but LEAVE MY SIN ALONE!

When John the baptist began preaching he began with REPENT.  When Jesus began his preaching he began with REPENT.  When Peter preached on the birthday of the church, after explaining the gospel, he preached REPENT.  Does repent means something different for homosexuals than everyone else? No.

Don't like the message, stay away, but it would be wiser to repent.  It is utter foolishness to demand that the churches stop teaching and preaching the part of the word you don't like.  Just imagine on judgment day..."Well, lord, I just didn't like that part of your bible, so I thought you must have been kidding about that part."  Proclaiming the word of God to a sinful nation doesn't make one self-righteous...it makes one obedient.

The Churches reply to the attack: Christian character intact:

5/30/12 - The Pastor and members of Apostolic Truth Tabernacle do not condone, teach, or practice hate of any person for any reason. We believe and hope that every person can find true Bible salvation and the mercy and grace of God in their lives. We are a strong advocate of the family unit according to the teachings and precepts found in the Holy Bible. We believe the Holy Bible is the Divinely-inspired Word of God and we will continue to uphold and preach that which is found in scripture.

Amen

Anderson Cooper has declared that he's gay, and much of the Internet on Monday pretended to shrug. "Pretended" is the operative word.
