True or Real? Is There a Difference?

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Gen 3:2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Gen 3:3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Gen 3:4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (pride of life), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

... and their eyes ere opened to the world they were supposed to remain ignorant of!

Because Satan knew they would be greatly damaged, possessing knowledge they should not be exposed to, he purposefully tempted them to be exposed to it! 

God wants us to be knowledgeable  about Godly things, about good things, not about worldly things that are in direct contrast to God's nature.

1Jn 2:14  I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

1Jn 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1Jn 2:17  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

 

When God told Adam and Eve to avoid the fruit of knowledge of evil, there was a reason for it!  He didn't say there isn't knowledge I am withholding from you because I don't love you!  He didn't say I want you to remain in the dark.  He wanted then to remain in the Spiritual Light, by NOT becoming acquainted with Dark knowledge.  Some things you just don't need to know about!

2Pe 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

2Pe 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

There are things that are REAL, that are contrary to the nature of God, Who is the TRUTH.  Things can be REAL, but not TRUE!!!  Any thing NOT in agreement with TRUTH, by definition is a LIE! 

Joh_8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

When Satan speaks, his purpose is to deceive.  If he can deceive you by telling you a reality that you are not to know, secret knowledge, you have been lied to, by revealing a reality contrary to Gods nature, who is TRUTH.  Reality contrary to Gods nature is EVIL.  It is REAL, but it isn't TRUE!

 

Joh 10:7  Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Joh 10:8  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Joh 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Joh 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Joh 10:11  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Many in the world, who hate God and His truth, believe themselves to be holders of "Secret Doctrines" and secret knowledge... theosophists and secret society types.  They call themselves "Wise Ones" and enlightened... illuminatti... Free Masons, etc. Witches and such ilk are led to believe they are wiser than others, but the word of God calls them otherwise.

Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

 

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Joh 14:7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Joh 14:8  Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Joh 14:9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Obtaining "secret knowledge" or spiritual enlightenment apart from Gods word and will is rebellion against Gods will.  Rebellion is as the "sin of witchcraft"! (1 Sam. 15:23)

Lev 19:31  Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

Lev 20:6  And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

Deu 18:11  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

1Sa 28:3  Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.

2Ki 21:6  And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

2Ki 23:24  Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

Isa 8:19  And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?

Isa 8:20  To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Isa 19:3  And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

Is it REAL or is it TRUE?  Can it be BOTH? Yes, if it is in agreement with Gods will and word.  Can it be different? Yes, if the reality is in contrast to God, it will not last past the judgment.  Only the TRUTH shall last for ever; everything "real" contrary to Gods nature, NOT covered by the blood of Jesus, will burn up with everlasting destruction, after death has been eliminated! 

Some real things may be real, but not true! Do NOT seek out the real things we have been instructed to avoid.  It will cost your more than you can possibly understand!
