Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
The sun wasn't created until the 4th day. John makes it more clear...
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
When we worship Jesus, we are not worshipping God lite! We do not worship some junior God, or some 2nd "person"... Jesus is the ONLY "person" that is God. it takes a body to be a "person".
We bow ONLY before the CREATOR of all things. He is or REDEEMER, our SAVIOR, our GOD! Jesus is alone worthy of our praise and adoration. There is none over Him. He rules alone! That is why we get so emotional and carried away at times. We know that the CREATOR of all things, personally knows us, and loves us in spite of our short comings, and makes it possible for us to really know Him. He paid the penalty for us! Our sins are remitted by His BLOOD! The cross is where we found forgiveness of all our sins... past, present and future!. We love Jesus as no other should be loved!
