I'm going to try to break this down for some who really don't understand who Jesus is. Many seem to think that Jesus is God lite! Merely God junior, the 2nd "person" in a godhead of a trinity of three "persons".
Jesus is the creator of everything, except his own image. The Father created only one thing... an image of self expression, who the angels and mankind were modeled after. We are made in His image. Before he made an image of self expression, there was the eternal Holy Spirit without a likeness or corporeal body. He filled all space and time at the same time. The image of self expression came to be revealed as Jehovah in the old testament. It was Jehovah that created everything after the image of self expression. We learn that this same Jehovah is the one who comes to earth born of a virgin and is revealed as Jesus in the new testament.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the
earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Joh
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same
was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh_1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth.
Joh 3:16 For God
so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Mat 1:18 Now the
birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to
Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the
invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and
that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or
dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and
for him: Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days
spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was,
and which is to come, the Almighty.
